If it is in fact a broken hand, I don't expect to see Bouma in this series or most of the next if the Flames make it past VAN. Especially seeing as Bouma uses his hands to block puck anyways.
And he'd be useless anyhow trying to handle the puck at a reasonable, competitive pace.

I think Ferland will be the new Bouma, for this series at least.

Ferland is going to be a force. Backlund needs to step his game up. Has only been productive for 3 weeks then extremely quiet for production.
Still too soft in the 1 on 1 board battles and rarely is in the slot.

I hope so, but his emergence lately has me wishing we could have both him AND Bouma. Oh well, hope Ferland can stay healthy and keep contributing like he has the last few games.

Regarding Monahan's status, he didn't appear to have anything wrong with him in the post game speech video that the Flames posted. I'm hoping that they are just resting him as part of a mind game against Vancouver.

I just don't think Hartley uses valuable practice time to play mind games with teams who will be preparing for Monahan to play anyway.
IMO either Bennett is in for Raymond or Hartley just goes with the PO clinching lineup. I think Byron is too iffy health and game speed wise, and he'll want to use the more veteran Bollig. I also think Potter will be in.

Yes I also hope Bouma is back ASAP. He is built for playoffs.

Raymond is not playing defence by turning pucks over in the offensive zone. Turning pucks over is not DEFENCE.
To add to his terrible play, he is very soft and he will lose every board battle. When he does carry the puck in the offensive zone the pucks is easily turned over and for whatever reason the majority of the time he finds himself laying on the ice watching the other team go up ice to create a chance.

Raymond can be so frustrating. He was some really good tools but just doesn't put them together consistently. He has the streakiness of Stempniak but without the grit.
Against a team like the Ducks, I would rather see a guy like Wolf in.

Didn't you see Wolf against the Ducks? Complete non-factor

Sample size is insignificant.
But still, non-factor over negative factor is still an improvement.

Yeah Sample size may be small, but I thought Raymond was one of the better in the beginning of the series
