May be right that hand does bounce pretty good. Freaky or not.

Looks to me like it hit his chest, and was nowhere near the hand.

Thought I saw him in the 'behind the scenes' footage from the locker room after the game yesterday. Seemed to be walking and moving fine. Didn't appear like his arm was in a brace, but in the editing they were clever to not show his right hand.

Wait what? I hate to off topic but my fandom of that show demands an explanation

A quick Google search yields:

Gary Burghoff's left hand is slightly (but visibly) deformed, which would ironically make him unfit for military service. This was covered up in the series by Radar holding a prop such as a clipboard in that hand or simply putting it in his pocket.

If Bouma is missing time with upper body injury we need to call the popo, the man has been decapitated.

Anything lesser and he'd play.

Good chance for Ferland to really establish himself.

While Bouma is a demon shot blocker and hitter, Ferland has the hitting down, seems to be a little more skilled and has a genuine mean streak that this team really needs.

Give this kid a chance on the second line and he'll impress in the playoffs.

Plus Alex Burrow's might actually die if he gets too scumbaggy.

On TSN 1040 yesterday (on BMac and Don Taylor's show), they were speaking with Ray Ferraro and BMac said, "they've learned that Lance Bouma is going to be out for the next month with a broken hand."

I know the Flames are being quiet about it, but those guys in Vancouver are generally fairly in-touch with those former Giants.

Take it for what it's worth.

Makes sense considering "Bourques twin" said he saw him and he would be out a while. Must have seen him in a cast. It sucks losing that warrior for a month of playoff hockey. Hopefully flames go on a run and he gets back in in a month.

No idea what it is.. but from where he was hit it doesn't look like a collarbone thing... I know football players sometimes injury their spleen after hits... but I suppose the hand is as good a guess as any.
