It feels like the Preds over the last week and half lost to every team the Flames are battling for a playoff spot.

At least with Nashville forgetting how to ever score it's helping Johnny in his quest to overtake Forsberg for the rookie scoring lead.

I'm not worried about San Jose. They are an inconsistent team, 5 points back. Don't really see them making it.

Still, just for peace of mind it'd be nice if they lost more often. One team with the ability to take your spot is considerably better than two.

Still, given recent events an overall acceptable OOT result.

I'm not even paying attention to the Sharks. Unless the Flames absolutely tank I don't see any way they finish ahead of us in the standings. The advantages we have on them;

- We have more ROWs
- We've won the season series
- We have 1 game in hand
- We are 3 points up on them
- 7 of their next 8 games are on the road (7 game eastern road trip)
- That 1 home game they do have is against Chicago
- 6 of our next 7 are at home

If the Flames continue to play the way they are they don't have to be worried about the Sharks. Just focus on your own game.

Florida beat the Jets tonight and looks like D Tyler Myers is out with injury. Damn Nashville been stinking the joint against Western teams lately losing Jets a few games ago and tonight they lost to San Jose. LA beat the Canucks and both Dallas and Colorado won.

Sharks have been great on the road. It's at home they've sucked. If they make the playoffs at the flames expense it'll be because the flames played terrible down the stretch as did at least one other team

The Blackhawks beat the Coyotes in regulation 2-1. That puts Chicago five points up on the Wild for third place in the Central Division.

The Sharks are only three points back of the Kings and Flames. I can see them making the post season at the expense of the Canucks.

Nashville is imploding. They have the third worst record in their last 10, ahead of only Edmonton and Arizona. I bet Chicago passes them, though extremely doubtful any other team does. May be first round fodder if they don't right the ship before the playoffs.

Even if the Canucks only play .500 hockey down the stretch, Sharks would have to go 10-4 to pass them.

Don't see it happening.
