Even when the Oilers jumped out to a 2-0 lead, I wasn't too worried. Not because the Flames are the comeback kids. But when you watched it, the Oilers just weren't that dangerous in the game. They took advantage of two bad plays and that's great. But their offense, just doesn't generate many chances.

I think someone else mentioned that the Oilers seem to draft complimentary players. But none of their vaunted uber talents can really take over a game and that should be your expectation with a number 1 pick.

Any Oiler fan who believes that they're a couple of pieces away is fooling themselves. The whole structure on that team is broken.

And this game proved more then anything else that Yak, it isn't an issue with confidence, or Eakins wrecking him. He has a very below average hockey IQ, and that can't be fixed.
