4th quarter meltdown as the Bulls score 49 points. Nearly 80 free throws combined is what makes the game unwatchable at times.

Chicago still has a gear that Toronto can't match, but it doesn't help that Patterson, Vasquez, and Williams went 0-10 from 3, and 9-27 overall. That stretch in the latter 3rd where the bench came on and did nothing except give up the lead killed the Raptors. Equally frustrating was Toronto's 4th quarter offense being too much about Lou Williams trying (and failing) to beat Butler.

Should the Raptors pick up Josh Smith? This team does need more depth in the frontcourt, and they could have a few interesting combinations with Smith in the fold. Would really help to address the rebounding deficiency, and as long as he can adapt to not having the ball in his hands as much, may be a real asset.
When JV sits, they could go with a hustling small ball lineup of Amir Johnson with Smith and James Johnson?

don't see masai doing it. smith is a great athlete, but his IQ is low and his EQ is non-existent......could be a wrecking ball to the chemistry and be a crappier version of gay (chucker)

Agree on Smith. I normally ignore character issue players, but in basketball it generally means being a selfish player aka: ballhog or chucker. Smith isn't the player to gamble on as he'll have an extra chip on his shoulder now to overcompensate for being let go. Not even worth our time. I want to see a legit 1st option come to Toronto for Amir and Ross and maybe a 1st. That type of deal would get rid of inconsistencies and injury concerns, and would gain us a clutch player. Clutch is necessary as this type of team appears to be a great regular season team, but not unproven in tight late games.

Pretty huge road win in LA to stop the Clippers home winning streak at 8. Valanciunas appears to be making the next step, only concern is what happens when DeMar returns and that's one more guy who needs to be fed, but Jonas is the key to them being a Finals team.

That was one of the most impressive games I've seen out of the Raptors this year - maybe the most impressive. It's one thing to destroy the Bucks like they did, another thing entirely to beat the Clippers as they did.

Hansbrough of all people has been on fire here at the end of the 1st/beginning of the 2nd. So cool how any combination of players on this team can step up at different times. We'll see how they hold up to the back-to-back in Denver at the end of the game but things are looking good at the moment.

Not surprising: They are even better offensively without DeRozan. Quite surprising: How much better they are defensively with DeRozan.

What I'm finding odd about Hansbrough this month is the increased minutes he's been getting (albeit inconsistent minutes). I'm thinking he's gone if a trade is made, considering he's an expiring. Hansbrough, Ross, maybe Amir gone in some type of package is my guess.

I don't see a trade coming. The team is at the top of the conference with a young-ish core. I think they ride it out through the playoffs.

Too bad Seattle doesn't have a team yet, Raptors fans from Vancouver would probably take it over like they do the Mariners games.

Very questionable call at the end there, really not surprised, and it's a game changer.

And they predictably put their whistles away with the raps on offense. Hey nba, why you so predictable?

Am I the only one who can't stand watching the end of basketball games because it takes forever due to constant timeouts?
Aside from tv commercials, what reason is there for them? Does the league think players are too stupid to think for themselves and need a coach to draw it out every time?
People rip on soccer, but at least when I watch that, there are no time outs with coaches drawing up plays every 20 seconds at the end of games.

Even by NBA standards this is some ugly officiating.

Haha what a joke. A very questionable no clear path overturn on the raptors followed by calling the raptors on a clear path when Vasquez is clearly ahead.
Dont even hide it nba, don't even hide it. What a disaster. Makes you feel like a fool for watching this sport. But the raptors are so fun to watch though.
