There's more debauchery in this thread than anything I've cumulatively witnessed at the Stampede grounds.

Hard to say, but the progression seems to flip pretty quickly, especially on the free entrance day.
In the morning, it's pretty much families with young kids enjoying the animals. By 3:00, the crowd is more teenage-focused and centered on the midway rides. By 9:00, it is young adults and older interested in carousing and drinking.
Sometimes, after going into BMO or the Saddledome to watch a show for a few hours, when I come back out it is like a switch got flipped and it is a totally different Stampede experience on display.

A buddy of mine was telling me a couple years ago how a married chick in his office basically asked him on a date to the Stampede. When pressed about her marital status, she replied, "It ain't cheatin', it's Stampedin' ".
...a lazy rhyme, but a good look at the mentality for many during Stampede time.

A bunch of us were at a corporate party on Tuesday, yadda yadda yadda, it ended up at Boudoir Rouge with two FEMALE co-workers making out with each other. So yeah, it's a crazy week.

went to Shania tonight. That was a great show. She has a tonne of energy and was really great at getting out and engaging the crowd.
It's been a while since I can recall an arena show with that many people dancing in the aisles, singing along, and loud. We were on the floor and looking up it looked pretty busy up in the seats as well.
We saw her in Vegas and the show was essentially the same, but the atmosphere here was 10x better than what got at Caesar's Palace.
Interesting, we could see her husband and at certain times in the show he was super animated about the crowd response. He took out his camera and videod a panoramic shot of the entire crowd at one point towards the last 1/3 of the show when the dome was going nuts, and was clearly excited at the encore requests. It was neat to watch. You could tell watching that there were certain times he was waiting for, and when it happened, he got pretty pumped.

went last night and man... the girls at the stampede... Whomever invented short shorts jeans is a god
Bell mentioned there used to be 5 Xpogo guys, and now they're down to 3 with 2 of them injured and in the hospital
Bell had to cancel their last two evolution shows because the wind was too strong, so that was a bummer
They have a new ride there. "Mach 3" which is like a smaller version of that skyscraper one. but costs 8 coupon and line is slow as hell
ate the Kangaroo, Croc and Python sliders. Not bad but they all kinda taste the same. When lean meat is ground up as a burger and cooked medium to well, it doesnt represent the flavour of the meat as well
If anyone is planning to go this weekend, i definitely recommend watching the Peking Acrobats. It the type of show where you couldnt believe you didnt have to pay for.

Bud and Corona usually run promos with cowboys hats right now but they're usually gone ASAP.

There certainly are some great looking girls to be found down at the stampede but I was really surprised by how many over weight girls there were. Society is really letting itself go. The Government of Alberta or Canada needs to look at providing some sort of gym membership subsidy or fat tax.

There is a credit for use of a personal trainer I believe. Besides with the level of grease at the grounds more fat people seems likely

Mike Bell is that you?
I went to the second show on Thursday night and Shania was absolutely incredible. She had the crowd into it the entire time and had a fantastic stage presence. Definitely the kind of show that I imagine was enjoyed by both country fans and not.

Did anyone else go on that new ride Mach3
Hella scary... but well worth the 8 coupons
Looks like the turnout this year is weaker than most years...
