Overall I'm a little disappointed by all the press conferences this year. Seems like all the games are sequels or were announced last year, so there wasn't too many surprises. Also, neither Microsoft or Sony did enough to sway me into buying a new console. I think the EA conference was the worst of the bunch since it lacked gameplay footage. As other have said, seems like the games I'm most interested in are multi-platform and/or on PC.
That said, I like what Ubisoft showed. Farcry 4, The Division, Assassin's Creed Unity and Rainbow 6 looked pretty awesome (although that fitness game presentation was sorta cringe-worthy).
Hope Nintendo will have some surprises like a new Zelda, Mario Galaxy, Metroid or Star Fox game. (I guess that's goes against my complaint of the lack of new IPs)

Pretty mediocre E3. Nothing earth shattering and Sony especially with a poor showing. They have one good year and it's like they went back to being arrogant again spending a lot of their show taking shots at Microsoft rather than focusing on what they have upcoming for gamers. Bashing Microsoft for focusing TV last year then a year later introduce Playstation TV? "We're listening to you the gamers" Okay we get it now give us something to be excited about at that's starting to ring hollow already.

I'd be cautious... Star Fox is a weird series in that there's six games in the series and only one worth playing. Yet it's lived on from the legacy of that one game (Star Fox 64). I don't have confidence they can live up to the brilliance of that game from 20 years ago when everything since then has been junk.
Tough to compare E3s when last year had the announcement of new consoles to increase the hype. I would say Sony was pretty successful aside from their TV and PSN announcements.

Whoa, sorry...but Star Fox (the original SNES game) is awesome. Star Fox Assault was actually decent if you ignored the foot sections. The music in Assault is a series high as well.

I'll never understand why people got so upset about the MS tv stuff anyways, as well as getting upset about that part of Sony's presentation.
Consoles have been more than just games machines for a long time, and to me, not considering all your entertainment options in the box is going backwards. The stuff I like most about the Xbox One is its full featured entertainment integration.
Judging by both presentations its not like the TV stuff is coming at the expense of gaming. Seems to me like there's more games than there is time to play them.

Yeah, you're off point there.
The original is still one of the best SNES games, the first DS game was actually enjoyable when you got used to the weird controls and assault was fine as long as you were in an Arwing or Landmaster.
You not liking them is not the same as them not being worth playing.

Sony focused on TV during their conference? I missed bits and parts of the stream while I was doing other stuff but I think I missed out on that over arcing focus.
Do you mean the few minutes they had about the Vita TV thing coming to the West? They've had that in Japan since November but plans to have it remote play to a second TV and play Vita games (along with the upcoming PS Now service) I believe.
Any idea if the first 3 Uncharted games will be coming out on the PS4? Haven't played any of them and I think I would want to go through them before playing Uncharted 4.

The Playstation TV is a gaming device though. Yes, it allows you to watch programming, but the prime function is to allow you to play PS4 and Vita on alternate TVs in the house.
From the list SuperMatt18 posted on the previous page, both conferences announced roughly the same amount of games and exclusives (Sony with 1 more). The comic section was weak, but then I don't really like comics. As long as the games were present, and they were.

It doesn't matter what the purpose of Playstation TV is because that part of their conference bombed hard. Save that for a press release.
