The thing about Dustin McGowan is that he just doesn't have a strikeout pitch.

Dustin is getting tagged up a lot today. He is very lucky to only be down 1-0.

Whoda thunk the bullpen would be this bad this year after their good campaign last year? Really missing Oliver as that setup guy.

If the team isn't going to invest in adding any pitching, they might as well start trading some hitters.

All this hot air about high ceiling draft picks only.....yeah, who's actually in the majors doing anything?

Agreed.... Jays are going to lose their window of opportunity (ie. Bautista etc...)

It will be another season with the Jays being under or at .500.

A hard decision needs to be made in regards to AA and his vision of the current direction.

McGowan has been removed from the rotation, in a mutual decision.

Rasmus to DL, Gose recalled from Buffalo.

Here's hoping they can take the series win tonight!

Just tuned into the game. Tolleson is batting for Francisco, did he get injured?

Minor news, but somewhat noteable given the Blue Jays black hole at second base....

Hate? That's a very strong word. Why do you hate him?

I'm curious too - not calling you out, Tyler, but as far as I'm concerned, McGowan's story is fantastic. He's got amazing stuff but just doesn't seem to be cut out to be in the rotation anymore. Hardly seems a reason to hate him.

Yu Darvish vs Drew Hutchison tonight. Yu Darvish is always a pleasure to watch pitch, however I hope the Jays beat the tar out of him.

I was very happy to see the Jays come out of the Indians series 2-1. 4-4 on their 8 game home stand which is pretty, well, average.

Oh and J.P. Arencibia back to haunt his former club!

Quite the pitcher's duel tonight. Through six innings the teams have combined for 3 hits and just now had the first runner get to second. Fun game to watch!

Wow, Hutch.........3 hit shutout, Jays win 2-0. First shutout by a starter since last July. And against Darvish, no less. Fantastic result!

Great job by Hutch. The Jays really needed an outing like that.
