Are you going by the flight path or the great circle route from KUL to PEK?

This was the flightpath reported by CNN. If the search is now east of Vietnam it's way off course.

Nope, that is just a great circle route from KUL to PEK. The flight path as filed actually went further east than that:

Which correlates much closer to the last position on Flightradar24:

Maybe it was a tidal wave in Kuala Lumpur France that brought the plane down?

Spoiler!

I wonder if the repair job on the wing had anything to do with the crash? If it broke off and they went into a spiral they probably wouldn't have had time to radio, and the plane would have hit the water mostly intact, which would explain the lack of a debris field.

There is clearly something we are not being told. Aircraft like the 777 don't just "disintegrate". They will able to find pieces of TWA800, Air India 182, and China Airlines 611 which all suffered mid-air explosions, thr later being a caused by improper repairs and not bomb.

It took a few days to find debris from Air France, mind you that was in the middle of the Atlantic.

I personally believe the Iranian ticket buyer is irrelevant to this whole investigation. The ticket seller had known him for 3 years prior to this latest purchase.
http://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/mis...-report-n49016
Quote:
She initially booked them on two separate flights -– one on Qatar Airways and another on Etihad airline –- but the tickets expired before she heard again from the Iranian, she said.

After he contacted her on Thursday, she rebooked the men on the missing Malaysia Airlines flight, though the Iranian again did not specify a flight. This time a friend of the Iranian paid in cash, she said. Benjaporn then arranged for a larger agency, Six Stars Travel, to issue the tickets, according to Thai police.
Him being Iranian, in that region, is meaningless. Every other custom suit shop in Thailand is run by Persians. They are very plentiful in Thailand.

I think him and the 2 fake passports are totally irrelevant to this entire missing plane.

I think this says it best about Iran.

I think the passports are also nonsense, probably illegal immigrants trying to get to the EU. But it makes sense to check them against the possibility of a larger plot that could still be in motion.
