Not a knock on Conroy, I just think it wouldn't suit his personality.
I agree.. he's more of a player personal type of guy.

I've got some straws if you need to grasp something. But I suppose Brian "I am not patient" Burke, Brian "I was disappointed with previous trade returns" Burke had to show that Calgary would not be pushed around anymore by not trading tradeable assets and instead keeping said assets on a day when most bottom feeders were moving their tradeable UFA's then all the more power to you, everyone has a right to their own beliefs. Nothing shows the impressive returns you can get on a trade by basically not trading anybody.

To go into this deadline and get a 2nd and a 3rd is pretty disappointing. Even Feaster could have done better than that. For a GM who made a big stink about how he did not like how the Flames played when he took over as GM I guess moving out Stempniak and Berra was enough to change the "we play small" culture he complained about on day one on the job.

Might I remind you about 2 years ago, 2012.... walked into it with pending UFA's Olli Jokinen, Tim Jackman, Scott Hannan and Corey Sarich?
