I wasn't being anti-Canada. I said I'd be cheering for Sweden if Backlund was on the team. Not sure how that was baiting moon. I am not cheering for team Canada. No idea why that annoys so much people. I don't like the team they assembled.

[QUOTE=schteve_d;4611797]I love Backlund, but I'll have no trouble cheering against him in the gold medal game.[/QUOTEo
Same I will now cheer for Sweden unless it is against Canada. Then I will have to go against him

Canada. Not sure why that matters. Patriotism doesn't mean cheering for Canada at the Olympics.

I would have been so angry if Team Canada had picked Taylor Hall but I would still be cheering, heart and soul, for Canada.

I would so love to argue this point but I'm also convinced that you are just completely FOS on this and are trying to rile all or any one of us up.

If saying I'm not cheering for Canada riles you up then I think you take hockey a bit too seriously.

Do whatever you do, you don't need anyone's permission, but cheering for a country that is not your own is phony.

Any serious sporting fan cheers for their own country when the opportunity presents itself.

That's odd. A big PM bet? Why don't you guys make it public and let us all in on the fun?

I don't understand how people can't or won't cheer for Team Canada, and they are Canadian. I am not saying there is anything wrong with it, they are free to do whatever they want. However, psychologically I cannot NOT cheer for Canada, its not like I choose to, I just do, I can't help it. My brain sees an athlete representing Canada and I just cheer for them, I honestly have no control over it.
