That's my dream scenario too. But a small part of me wants for some of these so-called fans to get what they want: Edmonton finishing ahead of Calgary. Then to have Edmonton win the lottery anyway as an object lesson on why one should never cheer for failure.

It's always funny when people try to prove they are better fans than others on a message board because they have a difference in opinion. I am sure I have been guilty of this myself but I still find it amusing

another reason I want the oilers to improve is McDavid. I'd love to have him on the Flames but I would just hate for him to be on the oilers. I want them to improve their team so they're out of the top 5 next year. The oilers have ruined too many players and I'd hate to see them ruin any more good young players.

No Tsawassen, it was a game that Hughson was clearly the PBP guy, last season. So it was whatever network HE is on.

Usually Center Ice in the US has either team feed, but WGN feeds are seldom made available. It so happened that last night the only available feed for me was the TSN.

Cuthbert seemed to call a reasonably neutral game, and Ferraro wasn't as annoying as some fans here seem to find.

In between periods of the 'Hawk/Canuck game...the TSN guys were discussing Scrivens' performance, but only one of them, Mackenzie, I think (the gray haired guy on the end), commented that Edmonton fans who are focusing on the goaltending effort, are missing out on a major issue with the team, pointing out how wretched a defensive performance it was to allow 100 attempts and 59 SOG.

That's fair though. Not too many of us would be focusing too hard on the defence if Ramo posted a 59-save shutout.
