KISS

RUSH is that old and they still sound the same, if not better

So does AC/DC and they still put on a hell of a show.
The same with Van Halen. When they hit the Dome a few years back, they were awesome after tuning in the crappy building acoustics. Even with Eddie's 16 year old son (at the time) on base.

Yeah, some musicians definitely age a lot more gracefully than others. Seger, Dylan, Young, Plant, Cash, the late Lou Reed....those guys all evolved as they aged. Hell, some guys like Willie Nelson are way better old than when they were young. But like you said, neither of those guys were an "act" like Kiss where half of their success was about a look.
There are few things more pathetic then old men trying to act like young men.

Definitely not. Instrument wise they're better than ever, but Rush's vocals were never simple and Geddy is having trouble hitting them nowadays.

I almost prefer it, my criticisms of early rush is the overly high pitched vocals. Last I saw them live it was absolutely fantastic. The fact that Geddy can still hit those notes is amazing, and Peart and and Lifeson are as good as ever.
Could be my pperspective, I always listen to music first and vocals second. That's probably where my love of rush comes from

He did sometimes sound like Gwen Stefani when he sang back in the day.

Looks like it'll likely be Anaheim/Chicago against Vancouver in the first round, if things stay mainly the way they are. Who do you hope has the honour of blowing out the Nucks??

I think it's more a matter of being able to do it. They aren't. So it's not dignified or respectable. I don't think it ever was.

Well this dignified rocker discussion was more entertaining then the game. Quite the snoozer in terms of entertainment value.

Two NHL outdoor shutouts and Tim Jackman was on the winning side in both.

Hiller missed out on a golden opportunity for a dukes of hazzard mask. 01 orange mask would have been epic. Lol

I don't get the hate for outdoor games. They are more for the spectators in attendance.
The Winter Classic has its spot since it's New Year's Day, has the 24/7 lead up etc but these are still fun for those in attendance.
Did anybody outside of Habs and Flames fans care about the Heritage Classic, doubt it but that doesn't change how much fun it was for those in attendance in Calgary.
