Yup, November 3, 2006, 11 rounds. The Flames lost to Columbus with Noodles in net.

Tonight tied for the Flames' second-longest shootout at 8 rounds. The other 8 rounder was February 6, 2012, when the Flames lost to the Ducks.

Monahan got a point? Check. Baertschi got a point? Check. Flames beat the 3rd most annoying team in the NHL? Check. Awesome night!

A bit of a slow first but got better.

Sven had a good game, nothing really stood out in a negative way. I think he is learning and implementing what coaches want to see.

Colborne with a sick move in the shootout. Monahan was clutch winning the game for us.

Hudler continues his scoring touch and Stajan was a beast. I like him more and more and wouldn't mind him sticking around for the future as a vet.

awww yeah,
always good to get a win, and if we must think in terms of development etc. could you ask for anything better for colborne and monahan's development than this win?

Woot!

He did that exact same move on a breakaway earlier this year.

Edit: I just rewatched the video, it's similar but not exactly the same. The kid's got good hands, he's just very inconsistent.

Colborne shows why he was a 1st round pick -- size and skill. I'm not surprised he's supplanted Backland on the depth chart.

Backlund is still young but I agree with the poster who said his time with the team is probably coming to an end.

The lines that were out there tonight are what I would prefer to see going forward. I think the baertschi-monahan-hudler line is a great fit and baertschi is getting his confidence going so I really think he is going to start lighting it up. Monahan too. The cammalleri-Stajan-Stempniak line was great too.

Cammalleri sure is playing like a pro despite all the trade rumours he's dealing with his year... Just keeps putting up points. Kind of reminds me of the year we traded Fleury to Colorado... He had to deal with the rumours all season and he still went out there and produced for the flames every night.

Dennis Beyak and Shane Hnidy, but to be fair that was a Jets regional broadcast so there's always going to be a Jets slant on things.

I remember when Vigneault had kind words for the refs and was victimized too. Just that kind of night.

I watched the TSN Jets feed and I surprised how biased the announcers were. They're almost as bad as the Colorado broadcast team. I'm not a Kerr fan, but I would be embarrassed if our play-by-play guys were complaining about calls on the air, that should be left to the fans. It's certainly not very professional.

Monahan has #1 Center written all over him

Poise, Attitude, Maturity, Skill, Defensive play, Hockey Sense, Size.

It's really hard to believe he just turned 19.
