Losing Law is really the only one that will sting. Hopefully Huff can end up signing him, unless he is targeting someone like Alex Hall from free agency.

Tsoumpas may be one of the biggest losses we've had in a long time. Top quality Canadian talent.

Cordarro Law worked out for the Baltimore Ravens today, off the top of my head he has also worked out for the New England Patriots, Denver Broncos, and San Diego Chargers . The Atlanta Falcons and Jacksonville Jaguars have expressed interest in him as well. My wild guess is if does come back to the CFL it isn't going to be until sometime around Labour Day since it looks like he is drawing significant interest down south. Maybe that is another reason Huff is letting him walk.

Maybe Parker's agent is asking for more money and more playing time. I haven't really seen anything from Parker but I think it is tough to figure out if he is good or not if he is only playing less. I thought at the end, he is starting to pick up. Tough to give up on him right now so I am hoping the Huf gets to sign him then let him play more and see what he can do. Is he a bust or not? i hope that he ever leave the Stamps that he sign somewhere in the East.
Oh yeah, love the signing of Chevy. Good guy. Also good that Huf re-signed Spencer Wilson too.

I work with a guy that played with Parker when he was with the Dinos. He was telling me Anthony wants to try and get some try outs down south. I don't think he has done anything to warrant a try out.

I think the NFL has plenty of speedy, athletes that can't catch the ball or run routes. Not sure why Parker thinks any team would want him over those guys or the many guys that can actually play WR.

Some possible guys I think the Stamps should/could look at during free agency:
DB:
Craig Butler (from Sask)
Jovon Johnson (from WPG)
DL:
Alex Hall (from Sask)
Ted Laurent (from EDM)
LB:
Kyries Hebert (from MTL)
Henoc Muamba (from WPG)
I think the Stamps need upgrades most on the defensive side of the ball. Getting a DL to replace Law and added depth would be nice.
And the secondary was arguably the weakest link last year, would be nice to get a decent DB.

Anthony Parker has not been given a chance. I think he played 20 snaps all year, that's a coaching issue.
I also don't see huff signing anyone. Has he ever dipped into free agency ? All I can remember is him signing armor. He usually signs his guys and makes a small more or two.

And don't forget that Parker suffered an ankle or foot injury that really set him back. With all the injuries to receivers last year, Huf was forced to go find a guy like Fuller, who has clearly passed Parker on the depth charts, in fact, is way better than Parker.

I think that injury really set him back. We have some pretty good non-import receivers that he couldn't pass on the depth chart. I think Parker was inconsistent and he seems to drop the ball quite a bit. He's got the speed but QB loses confidence on receiver when they drop the ball quite a bit. He was pretty good at the end of the season though. Right now we still have Arthur, Sinopli, Baumann, then the 2 guys we just picked up on trades plus Forzani if healthy. Not sure if there really a room for him. Too bad though because I still want to see him succeed as a Stampeder and was hoping he gets more chances next season but we might not see what's his capable of in Stamps uni. I just hope he signs in the East and not in Edmonton or BC.

Went to a Stamp's luncheon today. Few things off the top of my head:
-Nik Lewis is recovering well
-sounds like Forzani isn't doing as well
-sounds like they have small upgrades they have planned for McMahon for the next "few years". New turf, concourse extension. They wouldn't comment on new stadium plans.
-Huff doesn't plan to spend a lot during free agency.

Of course they wouldn't comment on a new stadium. This is the same ownership group who is always only a couple months away from unveiling arena plans. Looks like we are stuck with lipstick on a pig. Porta potties and hot dog stands don't count as upgrades.

Huff never really spends in free agency. We needed a piece in 2008 and we got him in free agency. We need that guy on D, hopefully he doesn't cheap out.
