For the capologists, Bryzgalov's cap hit is actually 2.266 mil this season because:
Quote:
When a one-year contract containing bonuses is signed after the season has started, and is effective for the then-current season, the standard cap-hit formula is adjusted to the following:
[ ( base salary * days remaining in season / days in season ) + total signing and performance bonuses ] * days in season / days remaining in season
per capgeek

Dubynk might not be great, but the Oilers aren't giving him much of a chance to settle in and get confident.
Exactly.

I am not allowed to post attachments for whatever reason, but if someone could post the shot distribution from the Chicago game, it illustrates this perfectly.

Of course, Oiler fans were lamenting that Dubnyk let them down again but when you look at the number of shots from the front of the net through to the slot, it is a wonder the Hawks didn't win 10-4.

And this has been the case most nights.

I'm just really looking forward to seeing Nail and Ilya amplify each other.

This is already sweet, but it's going to be special...

Can't wait for his first bizarre after game quote. I hope he takes Yakupov under his blocker at how to be a Russian in the NHL.

Bryzgalov lets 5 goals in his debut with OKC against the Heat. .792 Save %.

I actually thought you were joking. Looked it up, and not only was Bryzgalov less than stellar, Street with the hatty! Nice.

Lol Bryzgalov! Allowed 5 goals on 24 shots. Congrats to Ben Street on his first career hatty!

WTF,
you know things are bad when your newly recruited NHL caliber goalie gets a <.800 Save% in his AHL debut

To be fair though, he hasn't played a game in months.

"To be fair" rebuttles are for the Oilers puppet media. If you want cold hard facts of various Oilers suckage, then come to Calgarypuck. That's what we provide here.

I honestly hope that's the case and I honestly hope he debuts in Edmonton and totally goes gangbusters with them. I want him stealing wins all day for them. They're already way out of the playoff hunt, bring in this nutjob to go on an all-world run, still miss the post season and don't ruin another young top draft pick.

Then they sign him to a bigger deal in the off season and he does what a Bryz does.

But .792 is a really bad outing in the NHL, let alone the AHL. Even our mediocre tandem consistently posts numbers above that.

Fair enough, haha.

I like Bryz, I hope he has a a good season. Too late for the playoffs, so I wouldn't mind him stealing a few games and gets traded somewhere half decent, leaving the Oilers to take several more steps backwards yet again

They are better coached.

What are they at now 10 or 11 wins in a row? Their record is 11 I think.

[edit] oops, that's number 9 - thanks EVERLAST
