Loved what I saw in that game. A great response from all players after that Dallas game. Baertschi looked awesome out there. That baertschi-Monahan-hudler line his getting better and better... Great at cycling the puck and confusing the other team in the offensive zone. What a move baertschi made on that rush that drew a penalty... Would have loved for him to score on that one.

Colborne continues to impress and I he looks like even more of a steal now than before. I'm surprised by how good his speed is... Didn't know he was that fast. He's making smart plays in all 3 zones and he's creating chances for other players. It's great to think how much the oilers could use a player like him and we got him for so little.

Well to be fair the Oilers would have given him too much ice time to begin with and would have skipped the part where Colborne just focused on learning the system, playing defense and working hard.

You can trust the Oilers to screw this stuff up

That's a good point. The flames do seen to be developing players the trigger way lately. Players are earning ice time and opportunities and everyone seems to be getting better each game.

I was watching the game and The Flames jumped out to a quick start that the Caps never responded to. Good solid home win by the Flames.
Big games by Wideman, Russell and Cammalleri. Kari Ramo pretty much now the #1, he's been playing good, stays calm too.

Chris Butler with over 24 minutes, wow, what's going on?
Also, Lance Bouma with more minutes than Backlund.
Good defensive game by Matt Stajan as well, as pointed out by the HNIC guys.
