Remember: Valentines event ends tonight at midnight so spend your hearts on the POS wheel before it expires.

I have 6 spins left to get the large fountain, after that I'm SOL and JWF.

EDIT: 6 more spins and nothing. Between this and the NHL series I hope EA goes bankrupt.

So the update removed the Valentines Day event and replaced it with ... Nothing

Where's level 39?

Edit: so now there are "Frink Points" which you get when visiting neighbours. You collect them to get prizes (like reaching the various prize levels from Halloween).

So I got this "game"on my iPad and starting using it. I put game in quotes because after about a week I noticed I hadn't really played anything. I was just building things when they became available and waiting. Does this become a game at some point? Is there a strategy? Risk? Reward? Obstacles? Or just building and waiting and amassing?

I'm going to hold off on updating hoping I can get a few more spins and attempt to clear that dumbass wheel.

This is it. Sorry it doesn't agree with your definition.

The friend points seem infinitely more interesting than the VD update. At least valentines gave me a few more percentage points for bonus money/xp. That update seemed sort of weak but it was, from what I remember, pretty much on par with last year.

Friends points seem alright, first reward is quite odd....

It seems to me like it gives you a huge boost in money/xp. All of a sudden I'm up at +-61% now. Sure didn't have that before the first prize.

Just to make sure, my Simpsons account should be linked to the Origin account right? I'm changing phones today from my Google Nexus to the Nexus 4 today. Want to make sure I don't lose everything

You're correct. I tried mine out on my wife's iPad once and all I had to do was log in to my origin account and my town was there.

Everything transferred smoothly. Google even automatically downloaded all my apps again.

Anyone else experiencing an apparent task glitch? Sometimes I set my characters to do a task and they don't actually start it until I log back into the game later.

For example, last night I set Cleetus' farm to grow silvertongue, and when I woke up this morning to clear everything it said it still had 8 hours to go. This has happened to me on shorter tasks as well.

Anyone else's game crashing and glitching like crazy? Ever since the update it's been an absolute pain in the ass.

Someone I know logged in and lost over 100 donuts for some reason or another. I recommended she contact EA, but knowing how they do business I'm not optimistic for her.

I'm having no problems but the better half had issues between when she updated her iOS until the latest game update.

I never clicked on this thread before because I had no idea what it was but I was alerted to the existence of this game via its mention in this video which was linked from a post in the Xboxone/Ps4 thread.

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/vide...3-Free-To-Wait

So apparently you guys are the ones propogating this gameplay concept? I don't get it - what is so addicting and compelling about this?

It's free, easily digestible, requires little dedication, and it breaks up the monotony.

I've never played a game that was set up like this (I knew vaguely of farmville because I have facebook but never actually bothered to find out the game mechanics). Maybe that dude just completely overstated the issue.

So it's possible, practically speaking, to play this game without spending any real-world money? And it doesn't just become a mundane exercise in waiting an arbitrary and excessive amount of time for the game to let you make any progress, as described in that video?

I've spent a grand total of $0.00 on this game.

There are enough quests, with ones being added on average ever 3 weeks or so. Each quest has several tasks. They aren't linear either, so you can be doing multiple quests at once.

For me it's mostly because it's the Simpsons.

I know people that have spent hundreds of dollars on this, but I don't pay any money.
