who need a rebuild

Burke doesn't like that, prospects would be traded by next summer

Brian Burke to Calgary? You know, sometimes crazy message board things don't seem so crazy anymore. http://forum.calgarypuck.com/showpos...58&postcount=1

Actually i have seen 2 GM's say that Burke's advice was to be a bottom feeder for a couple of years and get high end talent. Burke broke his own rule and i highly doubt he will do it again.

Also while Burke broke his rule and lost the trade, he still ended up with a 40 goal scorer.

technically Tyler Seguin and Dougie Hamilton

they were 1st round picks at the time but he completely failed in judging the talent of a team that should have been rebuilding and tried to 'win now'

Need to find a super duper mega excited kind of a really big deal fist pump gif for when they hire Burke. My month will be made if this happens. Yay!

It makes way too much sense to name Burke GM, Feaster President of hockey ops, and Ken King CEO.

Still holding out hope.

Lol nice try at trolling. If the rumors are true Burke will be hired as president of the club, not the GM.

Not arguing the trade he made as GM of the Leafs.

Burke won't be wheeling and dealing because Feaster is the GM.

Great. Oil fans making jokes about this already:

Tyler Hupka ‏@HBomb1982 36m
Burke to Flames, offer sheet Kadri, one of picks given up becomes Connor McDavid. Perfect, other than CMD landing with the TML. #chaos

Honestly, IF Burke comes in I give Feaster to the All star break. Only because Burke will want total control.

I like Burke has a GM I just think the Flames I just think the Flames are in the wrong spot for him

he can say his advice is to be a bottom feeder for a few years but his actions in Toronto didn't show that and it's the only time he's really had that option

Where he has been successful is coming in to teams in Vancouver and Anaheim where there were all ready big pieces in place that needed some additions to take to the next level

maybe he's changed, but actions speak louder than words and if he's in charge I would expect a prospect or pick(s) to be moved for a currently productive player in the next 12 months, whether it happens or is the right move who knows, but it's not a rebuild

and we could end up with ron wilson as coach since burke has his list of go-to's that he follows

Burke knows he made a mistake trading for Kessel. Do you think he's going to come to Calgary just to repeat the same mistake on Kadri (ignoring the fact that Burke has publicly stated he hates offer sheeting players). In the end, it actually wasn't that bad of a trade.

I'd rather have somebody who knows the potential mistakes and repercussions of these types of moves. Burke knows this.

The Flames are much worse team than Toronto was when Burke inherited them. The big name vets are already gone. He's not going to trade futures for help today, as much as rival fans would like us to believe.
