If it was massive overpayment then Colorado would have gone for the deal

Because maybe he took more games off than games he was good last year? and who cares about the 39 goals in the past. that was years ago.

Yeah, that would be sweet too. I just feel that if we magically land Mackinnon and still have a first and second (tanguay and cammalleri trades)... this draft would be a very big success!

Teams that try to get the skill first without the supporting cast flounder aka, Florida, New York Islanders, Edmonton, etc.
I'd rather be in the former group that in the latter.

I think that those teams got their skill first before adding depth. Each of those teams were built around skill like Staal, Getzlaf Perry Crosby, Kopitar, Bergeron, Crosby,Malkin Doughty , Toews, Kane, Keithand filled in veterans for depth later like Rechhi, Guerin, Madden, Campbell, Richards later

Right, but a 30yr. old Jason Pominville was worth a first and second

And that one player could turn out to be Alexander Daigle.

As I said in my argument, he has had success everywhere but Montreal, thus I added the 39 goals.
As for games off than games he was good argument, any veteran would start giving up when the top players on the team start getting traded.

Not a 6th overall. Maybe late teens or in the 20s. I would trade Backlund and the 28th for him though! Do it Feaster!!

A healthy Crosby yes
Toews, 22 and 28 for Crosby and his head concerns probably.

Did you not watch last season? Cammy was pure garbage for the first 10 games and was more terrible than not.

Pominville notched a pretty decent first and a second round pick. I think the 1.5 million difference can be made by only getting a 27th round pick for Cammalleri.

I can name $7 million reasons why Cammi will not garner a first back. Flames would need to eat $3 million of his salary. I do think he will get a first back at the deadline when the flames have paid most of his salary.

You are such a fool. I almost feel like you know its such a dumb statement to trade a first for Clutterbuck, however, you continue to say it for some reason.

Daigle's problem was he hated hockey not talent.
Easy to figure that out in interviews and avoid a Daigle.
