I didn't know they were best of 7.
I see the thread titles are already updated with tonight's results. Props to Oilfan for staying on top of things!

I hate, absolutely hate the fact that Glen Healy is on HNiC. Let him write a news column if he wants to get his idiotic, racist, hateful opinion out. Don't put him in front of a camera.

Healy has always been like that, PJ seems like he is auditioning for Cherry's job by just being loud
when he wasn't on the panel and was in another room he wasn't like this

And the Kings Scored once they poured on the skill. Yes, I did watch the game and the Blues dominated the majority of it. and I didn't deny that. This is expected from the home team! Why are you trying to debate this?

The Kings played terribly for 45 minutes. They were unable to match the intensity of the Blues. They were lucky to get to OT in that game. However, I feel like the Blues gave everything they have and the Kings have way more that they are capable of. I'm not sure what Sutter was thinking with his crazy line combos today but the forwards were unable to get in the zone or sustain a forecheck for most of the game. I'd like to see him put the players back where they've been playing all season. Kyle Clifford is no first liner.
Regehr has been solid for the Kings. I'm glad he wasn't more seriously injured. Taking a skate to the face is really scary.

This was an awesome game of hockey to watch, especially as it was a 1am start.
Sorry but if it wasn't for Quick this game was all over after the first period. The Blues were buzzing all night long, there was no way the Kings should have taken this to overtime.
I still hope the kings win for the sake of our draft pick but this is going to be a great series if last night is anything to go by.

A tough way to lose but the Kings goalie wasn't quick enough in comparison to Steen. The bodychecks looked painful and whoever wins this series is going to totally exhausted and bruised.

You have to be kidding me.
Weekes' comments have zero insight, state the obvious repeatedly, frequently have no relevance to the topic at hand, and always fail to move the conversation forward. He is as dull as door knob.

CBC is just brutal top to bottom. With the exception of Friedman (who is excellent), the rest of their commentating team just doesn't hold a candle to TSN, especially after TSN got rid of the uber annoying Pierre McGuire. And don't even get me started on Cherry. A geriatric fool who the game passed by 25 years ago. The only way he keeps his job is that he's such a Leafs homer.
What really irritates me is that the so-called national broadcaster lacks the ability to televise two simultaneous games to the same region. At least on Shaw, the only way I could watch the Chicago game was on channel 79, CBC Ottawa, and then not in high-definition. I'm sorry, but if you can't broadcast 2 HD games at the same time, then you shouldn't have the contract. For cripes sakes, even pathetic Sportsnet can do that.

People get so worked up about Healy and Stock (mainly for no reason) that Kevin Weekes nothing comments seem to pass them by and for some reason he then looks "good" to them.
Healy and Stock aren't close to as bad as people try to make them out to be and at least offer an opinion or some insight. Kevin Weekes pointing out that the ice is white and those guys are playing hockey adds nothing at all to the panel.

No issue with Stock but Healy is terrible. The guy is an idiot.

Maybe not Stock, but Healy really is as bad as people make him out to be. You can feel his arrogance seeping through the television. Him and Kypreos are really the only two people I cannot stand on TV. Heck, I don't even mind Ferraro and Milbury on most nights. But Healy and Kypreos are just unwatchable. They're the only guys that make me change the channel when they're on.

Outside of his Oilers hurt by the Brier theory that he kept going on about I haven't heard that much wrong with Healy. Maybe because I listen to him on PTS a lot and he seems to make good points but when hearing people whine about him Saturday after Saturday for the most part I have a hard time seeing what their problem is.

Ha, Sutter calls out Hitch in press conference: (sits down) "Come on guys, lets go, we got a bus to catch. We gotta put a timelimit on Hitch if he's going to go on like that first."
perhaps slight paraphrase, but that was the gist.

It's not necessarily what he says that bothers me but just how he acts and says it. His arrogance, condescending tone, the way he consistently talks over the other panel members and interrupts them is what bothers me. Plus the way he trashes other players for things, all while acting like he was the best goaltender of all time is what bugs me.

I don't notice that, especially the goaltender thing, but people are going to like different things I guess.
If he is interupting Kevin Weekes letting us know there are two teams out there one named the Kings and one named the Blues then quite frankly I am glad that he does it. It is a short segment so Weekes filling it up with his nothing comments should be shouted down and interrupted.

If the Kings win that one the series was over.....Blues would have thought here we go again.

Have you ever listened to Gord Miller and Ray Ferraro????
Have you joined the digital revolution and got rid of your rabbit ears? Time shifting of the CBC signal is available from your cable provider.
Sportsnet has regional channels and cant show the same game on each of the regions unless they have paid for national rights
You really should try and understand how these things work before you spout of your hyped up rhetoric
