Yup, and the stupid Oilers have not won since dirtbag Yakupov over-celebrated a late powerplay goal, the Oilers 8th goal in an 8-2 win. There is justice in the world.

Also, the Oilers have missed the playoffs for even longer. This will be year 7.

Great win and Sutters drafting actually doesn't look bad with Brodie, Backlund and Reinhart looking like they have bright futures. Erixon if he had stayed doesn't look bad either.

What are the rules for tampering?
J. Schultz just mentioned on after hours that Sam Gagner went to visit him when he played for the Badgers.
When Iginla was traded it was mentioned Crosby couldn't call him since that would've been tampering.
Could Gagners visit also be consider tampering in that case?

Yep. I've been saying this for a little while now. Darryl's recent drafting is kind of being vindicated as we speak, and a lot of posters who believed that Feaster has drastically improved the team's drafting came to their conclusions too early.

If he went and told him to come to the Oilers it would be but guys are allowed to socialize with other NHLers during the season and offseason.

Gagner, "Hey, come play for the Oilers, you'll make millions and can spend from May to August golfing with your brother."
Schultz, "Yeah, ummmmm, and ahhhhhh, that sounds ummmmm, really ahhhhh, like.... ahhhhh, good aahhhhhhhh, idea."

Blame him? He had the chance to sign anywhere in the league last year and he got the hard sell from Lowe, pulling in all these favours with calls from Wayne and Mess...and got duped into signing there to be part of that mess with no end in sight. Being in a medicated stupor like hs's talking tonight is probably a good day for him to deal with it.
Unlike Pronger, he doesn't have the pull to ask for his early exit.

Maybe he's depressed because he suddenly realized the reality of his situation: Bound to a stagnant franchise that plays in a greasy mulleted city. Either that oil change clip was rushed to limit schultz's air time or it was the only clip they could find of Taylor hall speaking in coherent sentences.

The players we got for Erixon, Horak and Wotherspoon, looking like they could be great pieces in the future as well.

I don't think anyone had to convince him. He believed playing for the Oilers would allow him to have more ice time to rack up more points so he could ask for more for his 2nd contract.
He did it for the money.

They all mostly play for the money! I'm glad the young guys are doing well, providing some excitement, but you have to know that that is exactly what's happening with them too? Play the best for $$. This is their best opportunity to establish themselves for the future, so they have to play their best. If they don't, they're gone. It's great!

I don't know, one of the things I would love to see is a third or fourth line with Aliu and Ferland on the wings and a winger like Horak up the middle.
Especially if Ferland brings the Jerk Rage that he was showing with the Blades this year.
