It's been 4 games in the past for a total of 45 games.

Thanks Sec218. So in that case 2.1% increase. Inflationary I suppose but would have been nice to hold the line as we suffer through 4 years of no playoffs and now the long awaited rebuild!

I'll be keeping mine. They are a lot of other stuff to spend your hard earned dollars on. But for me hockey is the only game to watch. Even if they are in a rebuild they are the only game in town really.

Do the game packs renewals usually come out later than the season tickets renewals? This is the first year that I have a game pack with my season tickets.

Well, renewals were due yesterday. Did anyone actually not renew their season tickets?
I ended up keeping both of my pairs.

Let mine go. Been a STH on and off since the 80's, but it's way too much money for what I'm getting. I'm also moving to Okotoks and having a kid, so I won't have time to go to any games. If I do go, I highly doubt I'll have much problem getting tickets.
2 seats, 227 row 8. It was $9400 to keep them, which is not affordable IMO. Even from a business standpoint, there isn't a lot of value there as far as clients/networking goes.

I kept mine. Saw a marginal increase but at the end of the day it's still worthwhile.
(rose colored glasses on now) I do think that it'll be an entertaining year for hockey next year. They may not win much or make the playoffs but I'm interested to see how it goes. If the tanking continues past next season I may have to seriously reconsider for 2014-2015

I agree, I doubt they'll win much, but next season will be so much better than the past couple of years watching the exact same team and the same vets simply get a little older and a little worse than they were the year before. Needed a refresh on the product, going the Flames games the past three seasons was like seeing the same movie over and over again. Not sure the new movie is going to be Oscar worthy yet, but at least it's nice to watch something different.

Yeah, I agree. I'm also excited to see a nice variety of teams come through this year. Great for Flames fans and for fans of the NHL. Plus it might make it easier to get rid of a few tickets when we don't play the Wild all the time.

I commend your loyaly wow since the 80's. Usually at the meet and greets when King or Rollie ask any STH her from the 80's they get 1 or 2 hands usually none.
I can somewhat relate to that sentiment. STH since 2001 and many of the games are difficult to sell for the last 3 seasons.. We broke down our Tax return with and without the ST and the return difference was marginal at best business wise. As that was my last pro argument to keep them.
I also was also irritated that the Flames even considered raising inflation costs onto the tickets. Edwards can eat the loss considering the product has eroded consistently for the past 4 seasons.
I hate to let them go but maybe i will enjoy the Flames more staying at home and buying the odd games on CP.

Nothing yet. My rep told me two weeks ago that they have not set a date as of yet for the game pack renewals, but they should be out in a few weeks.

I let my season ticket go. It wasn't because of the rebuild which I am glad they are finally doing it was due to a few things, the increasing cost of the ticket and other associated costs like concessions and parking continuing to climb over the years. Beer was $3.00 when I started going. Parking was $5.00 on the grounds. You can still park for $5.00 under Sunterra market on 12 ave for those going down next year.
Also when I bought my ticket over 10 years ago not all the games were on tv now they are. I was single then too with lots of disposable income now I am married with a family and have other things to spend money on.
The last lockout really made it easy to let it go. I found I didn't miss hockey at all unlike the lockout of 2005 when I did. If there hadn't been a lockout who knows I may have dropped the money on tickets again.
I enjoyed my time as a season ticket holder but it was time to move on.

Yes pretty much all of this except I have only had my tickets for 4 years.
I am also not a fan of who they have in place to manage this re-build & selling tickets is so difficult and I don't foresee that improving in the near future. I lost money on some games this year and with 2 small kids there are quite a few games I just cant make it to so with all that, I did not renew.

I broke down and renewed.
I have purchased a house and really shouldn't have renewed.
The hockey was a lot better this shortened season, which was one of my reasons, instead of watching a team languish there was some real compete. Also, it's going to be a very interesting year in terms of draft, cap limit and goaltending.

I've completely lost faith in Management.
Signing Centres who werent Centres, the RoR Fiasco, 3 years of Brent-Ball. This team has always lacked elite skill but at least it countered it with Grit, the dome was a hard place to win and when you did you paid a price.
Glen Healy's quote (when Calgary was a playoff team) "no one plays Calgary and goes on to win the cup" was true. Now, teams throw in their backup goalies on us - religiously.
I'll come back when Management has undergone their rebuild, might be a long wait.

If you weren't smart enough to make a statement some time ago when the rebuild SHOULD have started, then you are confirming that now by doing such.

I should clarify. My company, which I'm a 4th generation owner (we're 75yrs old) has been a STH since the 80's. I went to quite a few games as kid during their cup runs. At one point we had tickets first row behind the players bench, beside the "moustache guy" that was always on when we scored. Great memories.
Anyway, it was my call to keep or give up the seats (has been since 2001ish) and I can't justify it. I used to have a great time there, bbut for what they charge in seat price, confection, parking, etc etc etc it was just WAY too much money. A client night would run somewhere in the range of $500, so you're looking at $20k over a season. I'd rather go salmon fishing for that kind of money.
HD hockey has also changed things a lot. Yeah, I like the playoff atmosphere (remember that? lol) but when I have a massive couch, Volos pizza and a few cocktails there's not much I'd rather do than lay around.

Also for me when I would give my tickets to clients it started to be more common when i do the usual follow up hey so did you enjoy the game. I was starting to get more responses that the team really is awful or so and so is this and that.
Not the thanks for your business that it once was.
If the game was a good result then it's all roses right. The customer was happy and that's why they were given.
On a personal note for me i really feel that $ cost/investment has become a burden if your not enjoying yourself but i still would have stuck it out again because i just love seeing Flames hockey live.
The increase of my tickets would have been an extra $600 that was just salt in the wound for us considering the past season. The wife who is a diehard sports fan was furious.
I can honestly say if the price remained the same we would be back but that was the tipping point.
We can rant/cheer at home without the investment.
Just means a better annual family vacation with the money saved.

There are some info sessions upcoming (may 28+29) so it should be interesting if they reveal any info on renewal numbers. Usually these threads are a lot of chest-pounding, but quite a few seem to have dropped out.
