Sounds good - my PSN is Trollytrackz. I'm not great either.. I've found that the carbines have been better to me in terms of an all round gun.. gives me somewhat of a chance against the noobs
The weapon unlocks take for freaking ever!
Cool! I think playing with others makes the game infinitely easier, or at least that's what I have heard. Plus I always have an easier time when I am gaming with my brother.
I know that much, I was actually very good at BF3 when it first came out. But the grind in this one seems worse, and the recon guns just seem ridiculous. They don't even have to be sniping, I'll come around the corner and get the drop on someone. But after 2 or 3 hits they just turn around and one shot me
I realize that I'm completely out of practice and totally suck now, but looking at guys already rank 40+ with all the unlocks just makes me think what's the point? EA ruined the Battlefield series when they turned it into a MMO grind
Agreed, I hate the leveling system, just give me all the unlocks like CS.
Some maps are really bad for the amount of guys playing Recon (Golmud Railway, Lancang Dam & Rogue Transmission being the worst), and I generally stick to playing vehicles only on those maps.
That said, I sure as hell love taking out snipers with a nice wire-guided or TOW missle.
I've been playing two days straight and I've only unlocked the scar. Getting off the iron sights took forever since its hard to aim with them. They should just give us all the guns instead. I killed one guy and picked up his gun and it was like an instant kill weapon. Killed six guys until I ran into a grenade.

Any of you guys have the premium package? Thinking of purchasing it but not sure if it'll be worth it.
More importantly, do you get any valuable guns/add ons with it?
First time playing BF and loving it!
I bought Premium from the get go because I thought it provided enjoyable content for BF3. I actually posted a review of BF3 Premium in it's thread if you're interested in looking for it (I am too lazy lol). For the second assault DLC they're adding 5 new weapons (F2000, MP7, L85, AS VAL and RPK-74), and vehicles in addition to the 4 "remade" BF3 maps. You also get a bunch of camos, knives and soldier emblems. I think it's worth it, but that's just me. For the record, I think BF3 may be the first game that I've actually bought map packs for.

Also, I was pleasantly surprised to find how much more optimized the game is running on PC. I just got back from a trip to Europe and hopped on last night to play some. Updated my Nvidia experience app and now I am running the game on Ultra instead of High and maintaining steady frames.

I think my favorite is probably Parcel Storm or Flood Zone. I find my stats are "negatively" affected by what I perceive are under powered LMGs. It's hard to say though because assault riffles seem very overpowered.
they already have a "metro" map, it's the prison map. Now once they allow you purchase servers 99% of the games will be 24/7 metro 500% tickets... if you want to play COD then go play COD.

Ugh .. Metro was easily my least favourite map in BF3. If I want to play Deathmatch, I'll play another game, Battlefield games are supposed to be more.

Exactly, it was always either spawn camped, or choked at B. It's a COD map plain and simple!
