So, is Cervenka liking the NHL?

im cutting the guy some slack, hope he gets his conditioning up to snuff and gets fully recovered from his blood clot issues. hope he remains here after this year. if the team can sign him to a lower type deal 1 per for a couple of yrs he could flourish. the team needs to get some bigger skilled forwards for the defensive game to get better so a player like this can be more effectively used.

I remember during the lockout, Hartley was talking to the guys on the fan about Calgary's new extensive video system, and how they even have video on guys like Cervenka in the KHL so they know what to expect from him.

His play in light of those comments makes me shake my head and sigh.

I didn't think Cervenka would do much this season at all, but, I made that decision based on my belief the KHL is a vastly inferior league to the NHL.

I'm sure if I had bloody video of the guy and a team of hockey minds and scouts to watch the video with me, it would've been pretty easy to make the same summation.

It was completely stupid to rely on a guy with no NHL experience to play an important role in the first place.
