Well I'm sitting here watching the Scotties and feeling pretty good. If I start thinking about regrets, well I'm not feeling so good, so regrets are worse than a waste of time.

A close lady friend of mine died 2 years ago from Breast cancer. I often think back to a particular August day when I was going to drive to Medicine Hat and see her in the pallative care ward. I wanted to say goodbye to her and tell her how much she meant to me. Not knowing what the state of her condition was I felt uncomfortable and didn't go. She passed away a week later. Since that time I have constantly revisited that situation in my mind wondering if made the wrong decison.

That was a girl and her dad. I dated her for a bit. I'm now the guy that wears a helmet to go skate around the outdoor rink.

As for me, if I would have posted in here about 3 years ago, I would have had a pretty good list. Most of it is erased now. I don't believe in the whole "everything happens for a reason" mantra, but boy am I glad that a series of things led to me being single and thinking I'd never want to get married at the age of 28, and looking for a new job before I got outsourced. It gave me an opportunity to be the happiest I've ever been, and planning for my wedding in a few months.

Now all I regret is the times I was a d*ckbag to people that are still in my life. I definitely could have enjoyed Jr. High and High School a lot more, but going through it the way I did helped shape who I am and understand a lot of kids and relate to them in a way I don't know if I'd be able to if I was the popular jock. I sure took a lot of teenage angst out on my parents though, I'll always feel bad about that. I guess I'll deserve mine when the time comes when I have stupid teenagers.

Unfortunately, Accutane is linked to a series of serious side effects, including inflammatory bowel diseases like Crohn’s disease, liver damage, depression, miscarriage and birth defects if taken during pregnancy.

I was taking it when it was still experimental. I had to give blood every two weeks to see what it was doing to me. I took it for 6 months. The only thing I really remeber was that my skin was dry and my nose was very tender to the touch. It never did anything else to me and it was 22 years ago that I took it.

Although it worked great for me, reading all of the problems people have had, im not sure I would take it now.

I do remeber all the pregnancy warnings all over the box.

Regret is important...it should teach you not to go there again. You have to learn from it, and move ahead. Hmmm

I regret my first marriage. Not for me but because my ex really wanted something else that she never talked about enough for me to understand. We spent many years together, would have been better for both of us to end it sooner.

I also regret trading sports for partying. What a waste of time that was.

I regret sinking tens of thousands of dollars that I borrowed from family, friends, and banks into a business I thought was going to be a huge success. I was wrong.

What's more, I spent nearly every waking hour trying to make it work. From waking up at 3am to go bake, make various sandwiches and snacks, and generally get ready for the day, to going home 2 hours after closing time which was 9pm so I could clean up and prepare everything for the next day. My day off was spent making various business ventures to neighbouring towns to research and try to expand or were otherwise spent working in some way, be it shopping, experimenting or testing, or doing books. And there were lots of books.

I regret that I felt I had no other choice than to try to follow what I thought was my dream. I regret that I tried so hard to make it successful and it actually took away from the fact that I was engaged to be married, had a newborn son, and was starting a new life. I regret not being able to do more to make it work, but at the same time I'm glad there wasn't more I could do. If there was, I would have done it, and chances are I wouldn't have a family to love me, despite my debts and failures. I regret how much time I spent working at it, and how quickly it failed.

The thing I regret most about the whole situation is the mental toll it took on me. I'm actually seeking professional aid to help me deal with my stress. I actually have PTSD from all the crap I've dealt with. Its getting much, much better, but I still get stung by it once in a while.

I also regret eating so much pasta and chicken the past few days. I haven't gone twosie in a couple days.

Nah, regret clouds your mind so you screw up again.

I regret agreeing to play as a sub for a floor hockey team years ago. A guy slid into me and took me out at the knees – causing me to tear my ACL and do a bunch of other damage. I ended up having two surgeries, and spending close to 20 grand in medical costs.

At this point, the impact on my daily quality of life is minimal – some minor knee discomfort, but no visible limp most days (for a while I did walk with a limp).

However, I’m no longer able to play the sports I love – hockey, basketball, football, tennis are all off the table. I used to play sports 3-5 times a week – and loved it. It was my favourite thing to do. Not being able to do that anymore really sucks, but the risks involved in me trying to do it again are just too steep.

I really miss it though – and in fact I have recurring dreams where I’m back playing sports again. I’ve been unable to find a substitute in my life that gives me the same enjoyment and rush that sports did.

CSSC - I've played in many leagues and the lower levels one are by far the most dangerous because the players don't know what they are doing.

If I had been given a sneak peak at "life's journey" and known it would wind up in this bull**** place, I would have politely declined and opted out of the entire experience.
