Hufnagel thinks this guy is a real deal. Started every game last game (4 games as a Left Tackle and 4 games as Right Tackle). That's pretty awesome. Also, this pick was done with the expansion draft next season on mind. He is headed back to college so it means Stamps does not have to protect him on an expansion draft or risk losing. I am sure if he plays this season for the Stamps, Ottawa will be all over him on the expansion draft.

Born: June 1, 1991... played linebacker before switching to receiver in 2012… made 18 catches for 231 yards and two touchdowns as an inside receiver in 2012.… had 25 tackles, a fumble recovery and two break-ups over two seasons (2010, 2011)… Okotoks native who graduated from Holy Trinity Academy Where he was defensive player of the year all three years… was a member of his high school’s 4x100m relay provincial gold medal team in 2008. Head coach/GM John Hufnagel says: “Charlie is a bigger kid. He was a hybrid player for them. He played in the slot and then came back in the backfield and did some fullback responsibilities. He’s a big man who has good speed. Last year was his first year as an offensive player, so I think he has tremendous upside.”
Head coach/GM John Hufnagel says: “He is a little injured at this time and won’t be ready for training camp. We’re hoping he can be there for the first regular season game, possibly even the last pre-season game. But with losing Brian Bulcke over the off-season and really not being able to fill that need in the draft today, we thought it would be a great acquisition for us. Now we just need him to get healthy.”
#67 Shane BergmanPosition: OL Height: 6-7 Weight: 352
Massive guy
6.07, 352 lbs... nickname is "Big Country" by Mustang teammates…
Head coach/GM John Hufnagel says: “Shane’s a big man. He’s lost some weight and is looking forward to dropping even more. He’s a project. But when you have that big of a man who can play, we are going to take some time to see how he can develop.”

How many teams are going to be in a bidding war for his services? At just 25 years of age, he has the potential to be a dangerous CFL receiver for a long time. Don't forget the fact that he was only 22 years old when he had that 1000 yard season with the Lions.

CKWX has learned that receiver Manny Arceneaux is on his way back to the #CFL. He will not resign with the NY Jets.
Quote:
#BCLions will be very aggressive in trying to re-sign the former Lion. No shortage of teams will be after Arceneaux.

Arceneaux is tired of bouncing around NFL teams the last couple of years and just wants to play.
Ticats R Chris Williams to have arbitration hearing tomorrow (Thursday, May 16)
************************************************** ****** Williams, who had 1,298 receiving yards and scored 17 touchdowns last season, remains under contract to the Tiger-Cats for what would be his third CFL season in 2013. However, Williams' agent, Dan Vertlieb, is attempting to free his client from the final year of that deal, presumably to pursue opportunities in the National Football League. ************************************************** **********
Wow. First the first pick overall Linden Gaydosh signed with NFL Carolina Panthers and Chris Williams wants to get out of his contract so he can test the NFL.

BREAKING - #BCLions and Manny Arceneaux agree to terms on a new 2 year deal.
No one ever said Mike Williams -- the former USC star wide receiver -- wasn't talented. He just couldn't come close to living up to the hype. Now, he'll have another chance, this time north of the border.
The Canadian Football League's Toronto Argonauts announced they signed Williams to a contract on Thursday.
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will have to do without one of their top draft picks this season as defensive back Kris Robertson is out for the season with a torn ACL.
"Our organization was very much looking forward to Kris coming to camp this year but unfortunately he has suffered a serious knee injury after the draft that will force him to miss the entire season," said Blue Bombers general manager Joe Mack in a statement. "We wish him well in his recovery and anticipate him joining our team next year."
"It sucks to say but unfortunately I will not be going to camp with the blue bombers this year. I tore my ACL. I will recover from this," Robertson (@KROB23) said on Twitter. "Stay positive no time for negative thoughts or energy."
The Toronto Argonauts Football Club is pleased to announce that star quarterback Ricky Ray will be at the helm of its offence for the long-term. Ray has signed a contract extension with the team through the 2015 CFL season.
