Man, they've been selling tickets for what, more than half a year now? They finally sell out after all these months and there are STILL going to be people complaining how they missed out?!
Glad they basically capped and are holding attendance flat from last year. Sounds like they're getting flak on social media for who they got to show up this year - which is pretty silly.
http://www.calgaryherald.com/enterta...480/story.html
“We tell everybody now: ‘There are no on-site ticket sales,’” says Expo founder Kandrix Foong. “So they say: ‘OK, I’ll just try my luck when I get there.’ ‘No, no, no, you don’t understand. There are no on-site ticket sales. The end. If you show up you will be turned away. Sorry, but that’s the way it’s going to be.’”
But the event hit its zenith last year, when Foong and crew scored the first full-fledged reunion of the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation. For Trekkies, this was something akin to the second-coming. So when planning started for 2013, the dilemma was how to top it.
Unfortunately, in this era of social media, feedback to the trickled-out announcements of the 2013 roster was immediate and often not particularly well thought-out.
“There’s a lot of people who are just never satisfied,” says Foong. “For the fans that are very happy, they don’t normally tell us a lot. The fans who are disappointed, they talk to us a lot more. A lot of them don’t understand the business end of things. I can’t exactly call up Harrison Ford on my cellphone and say ‘Yo man, What are ya doing? Are you busy next weekend?’ It just doesn’t work that way. And there are certain things that can happen and can’t happen.”

And if anybody has not seen this yet for tomorrow! (bold and size format to get attention):
http://www.calgaryexpo.com/
Don’t want to miss a second of the Calgary Expo Craziness? Be sure to drop by the lower level of the Big Four Building on Thursday, April 25th between 4:00PM & 8:00 PM to do your badge exchange!
- People who exchange their ticket for their badge/wristband on Thursday will not have to wait in the admissions line up at the Big Four building to enter into the convention.
- Children's Passes, Single day passes, Weekend Passes, and VIP Passes can be redeemed.
- This does NOT apply to gaming passes as those passes will be exchanged in the gaming area during the weekend (upper level of the Big Four Building Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
- Stampede parking rates will apply so if you’d like to save yourself some money, park on the street or use public transit
- The Thursday badge exchange will be in the lower level of the Big Four Building between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM.

They release an exhibitor list with the map yet? I don't see it on their website.
Hope they have some bigger ones showing up this year.

Thanks H&L - thought they'd have it handy with the show floor section.
Dang it, so much for the majors coming out for this. We're getting more of the guests out but maybe future years for larger and better exhibitors.
Seriously, ING direct? The hell are they doing there? Isn't HMV out of business? Bert, you can't let HMV get more floor space than you!!

Psh, don't be. Enjoy yourself.
It looks like lots of tickets are still available even now for any really late comers. About 1/3 left maybe?

Yep. Taking my son to this. I have been looking forward to this for a while. Not sure if the parodies will make much sense to a 7 yr old, but this is kind of more for me, to be honest.

The Weird Al concert was about as much fun as you can have at a concert. Played everything you'd want to hear. Tons of costume changes and seemed to really be having a good time.
