So once again, we're left with what is essentially a small number of tragic occurrences each year that are likely the result of pure thoughtlessness and a lack of empathy more than anything else.
Leave the abortion laws alone. I think we can all agree that nobody ever WANTS to have one. The fact remains, it is a necessary evil of a modern first world society. And if you want to reduce the number of abortions, the way you don't do it is by guilt-tripping, saying Jesus doesn't like it, or other nonsense. It requires the sort of enlightenment that I don't believe many people on either side of the argument possess at this point, and until both sides have a measure of it, we're gonna keep spinning our tires with nonsense like this.
