idk if it was in this thread or another one but someone posted that there is a Simpsons reference for virtually every situation. Not the first time I've heard or even said that before and not even just about CP.
It is almost too easy to make at least one reference per day. It seems there really is a Simpsons moment for every single situation.
A friend and I (both huge Simpsons fanatics) used to be able to take pretty much any random object or phrase given to us and somehow relate it back to a Simpsons episode. Not sure I could do it anymore, I don't watch nearly as much as I did in high school.
Yes! Homer vs the Eighteenth Amendment is on Comedy right now.

It's pretty mind blowing to talk to younger people at work who are in their young 20's and chat with them about Simpsons. To me growing up with that show, especially during the golden age of season 2 to 8, it will always be one of the best tv shows ever. For teenagers now Simpsons is a pretty average show on Sunday that reminds them of Family Guy. Not that I don't like Family Guy, I do, but it pales in comparison to the genius of season 4 of Simpsons, for instance.
Heck beck in the day the Simpsons would setup a premise of an episode with mini skits at the start of each show that were better than most episodes of Family Guy.

Yeah. I was probably young to get a lot of the humour when those seasons were new, but there is very little that can compare.

The Family Guy creator and voice actor (not to mention, host of the upcoming Oscars) will try to romance Marge in an episode that’s slated to air next fall as the season 25 premiere, EW has learned. The two popular animated shows, of course, share a network, a night, an overweight patriarch that falls well shy of role model, and a rivalry as they’ve playfully jabbed each other on screen over the years. “We wanted to come together in a bipartisan way to make Fox Sunday night rock,” sums up Simpsons executive producer Al Jean of the MacFarlane casting. “This was all very fun.”

The one hint was that the person who voiced the character has won an Emmy for it. I'm going with Sideshow Bob. For real this time!

Well, that counts out any of Harry Shearer's characters (Skinner, Kent Brockman, Mr. Burns, Smithers, Ned, Reverend Lovejoy, Dr. Hibbert, Lenny, Otto, etc).
Azaria and Castellaneta have both won Emmys for "Various Characters". The Emmy wins for a specific named character were: Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Rabbi Krustofski, Mrs Krabappel, Apu, Sideshow Bob, and Princess Penelope.
Assuming it's one of the specific characters that won an Emmy, it won't be one of the main Simpsons, and Princess Penelope was a one episode character. That leaves: Krusty's dad, Mrs Krabappel, Apu, and Sideshow Bob.
