Crash and Bang Winger
|
So my girlfriends purse and iphone was left in my car2go car last night. I've been on the phone with car2go and it turns out it was rented out once between when I let it go and when I was able to check it again.
First Question: Were you the person who took it? I know it's a long shot...
Second Question: So the cards are stopped but what else should we do? No one's reported it yet and I can't get anywhere until the Calgary office opens on Monday morning.
Thanks for any help.

Have you done the remote lock and remote message send using her "Find my iPhone" app?

Find my iphone isn't finding anything. I don't know if the phone is off or if the app wasn't enabled but it's not coming up with anything. There's a pin on the iphone but I'm not sure what the remote lock is. Is it a part of Find my Iphone?

It should be right on the bottom of the screen; below the map.

Not really, It's owned by Daimler which builds some vehicles for Mercedes (trucks) and a lot of other brands.

Do you have enough neighbourhood seniority for that?

The rates are going up on November 12: - Minute: $0.35 -> $0.38
- Hour: $12.99 -> $13.99
- Day: $64.99 -> $72.99
I think the price increases are reasonable, but I find it interesting that they would increase the rates shortly after introducing car2go.

I don't think he knows what "cheaper" means.
It costs him $40/week (~$160/month) to use Car2Go. A bus pass would cost $94.

________________________________________________
Dear car2go Canada Members,
As the car2go community continues to grow throughout North America, we strive to make getting from point A to point B convenient, flexible and affordable for you.
While the price of fuel, insurance and parking continue to rise throughout North America, our operating costs too have risen. Additionally, parking solutions have been provided to make car2go even more convenient for our members. It is for this reason that we wanted to inform you that our rates will be changing effective November 12th. Trips beginning at 12:00 A.M. on November 12th will be subject to the new rates.

**Rates listed do not include the local tax required per city
The new rates will continue to include all of the benefits and services you love – fuel, parking, insurance, maintenance, and access to any car2go in Canada, at no additional cost.

The American markets served by Car2Go already pay these rates. The rates are going up Canada-wide to match.

They are having issues with their communications provider. It was just a few blocks in the SW, now it's pretty much taken down most of the fleet.

Maybe the Ta-inator is factoring in saved time and convenience? Probably not though.
