Nice list.
For me personally, I'd add Sons Of Anarchy & Dexter into that mix.

I would rank Mad Men over Breaking Bad right now. No, there are no cliffhangers, but that's part of what I like about Mad Men. The episodes are short stories that can stand on their own. It's engaging without being shocking. Thought-provoking. BB is a close second for me right now though - when does the new season start?
I only recently started watching Game of Thrones, and while it's good, it's not on the same level as Mad Men, Breaking Bad, etc. In fact, I'm a little confused at all the hype it is getting. I'll continue watching it, but I found the first season much more entertaining than the second. I've been avoiding the GoT thread because I don't want to see any spoilers.
Boardwalk Empire has its flaws as well, but I like it more than GoT I think.
Did not like what I saw from Sons of Anarchy or Walking Dead at all. Might pick them up eventually though.
Dexter is a flaming pile of poo now, but was once great.
Comedy-wise, to me, nothing compares to Louie. Archer is good. Parks/Rec is okay. I'm actually looking for a half hour comedy to watch. Suggestions? Preferably something with a couple seasons under its belt.

We're turning this into a random TV talk thread, which was just started and still on the first page of this sub-forum.

The last episode was amazing. The Peggy story came out of nowhere for me. I know she was overworked and underappreciated but did not see her leaving. No doubt she has set herself up for a succesful career elsewhere, but what does this do to SCDP?
Joan. Joan, Joan, Joan. Jaw-dropping scene with her and the dealer guy in the hotel room. My perspective - a sad but astute move by Joan, knowing her situation as a single mom in that era. She is now set for life. My wife's perspective was completely different. In her opinion she will be haunted forever.
Pete maintains his position as the unofficial villian of the show with his sliminess.

Pete is necessary for SCDP, in my opinion. Everyone else isn't near as ambitious. I get this vibe that Don has it all, and is loaded. Roger just doesn't care. Bert Cooper is ancient and has his ranch, etc. Lane Price is only motivated to keep his own personal finances in check for the time being.
I loved the last episode, I thought the Jaguar pitch was one of the best that Don has ever done.

Holy crap. Insane turn of events, thought it was possible but didn't think they'd actually go there. Also, Weiner, stop putting your kid in the show.

Not surprised that happened, I knew what he was doing when he went to the car. I was, however a bit surprised that he didn't give up after that.

Yeah, it would have been a great bit of comedy if the Jag was such a piece of #### that he couldn't even use it to kill himself. Unfortunately he was persistent which took away any lightness.

I guess the Free Love is over for Jaguar. First they talk about how rinky-dink it is then the damn car won't start when he tries to kill himself in it.
But then how did Lane get to the office? So many questions!

Jaguar was notorious for being unreliable pretty much right up until Ford took them over. I don't think Mad Men is telling any tales out of school.

Obviously.
The point is they had all their cool cars all over the cool TV show, and tonight they took a beating.

Same way he got home that night, and to and from every other day, I imagine - other car or cab, more likely.
Gut wrenching episode, though. From the moment he walked out of Don's office you knew it was coming, and I was cringing in every scene, beginning with when he turned around to the window in his office and I expected him to recreate the opening montage of the mad man falling to his death.
In some ways he always felt like the rock at the centre of SCDP, anchoring it and calming things no matter what storm hit with his British stiff upper lip.
It will be interesting to see how Don reacts; taking blame for firing Lane rather than giving him a chance to make amends, or blaming Lane for being weak, both for the first transgression and for not being able to start over as Don had himself done.
Unfortunately, Megan continues to be a black hole in the show, sucking the life out of every scene she's in.

Two episodes ago, didnt Bert say something along the lines of "they're lemons, they never start" when talking about Jaguars?

Ever since Jaguar entered the show, their lack of reliability has been a running theme.

At the risk of sounding morose, I now know where Joan is going to slide into in terms of day to day operations as a partner.

Here's a new article about this whole Jaguar thing.
http://jalopnik.com/5915516/how-it-f...ur-car-company
Apparently the car company has very little to do with it. No "editorial" input, they aren't paying them... they had a hand in getting them some vintage cars and decorating that dealership so it looks like an authentic 60's Jag dealership.
Cool story, bro. But really.
