Big thanks to Nick for organizing this. I had a great time and hopefully everyone else that made it out did as well. I Hope whoever took the puck in the mush isn't looking like a Christmas catfish now.

Thanks big time, Nicker. It was a blast as usual, and can't wait to play again next year.

Considering I was probably this years "Realtor_1", I am thankful I came out as unscathed as I did.
Although now when people say "come out, I suck too", I will take that to mean "I am modest, but I will wipe the ice with you, and you'll make me look good".
Anyway... it was fun, and I will be getting gloves and pads before I endeavour to do this again.
I also wanted to come up with some chants and cheers for Team White, but they all come across rather Aryan pride sounding...
Thanks for organizing, Nick.

Thank Nicker for organizing.
Hope the mouth is ok, I still feel bad.
2.5 hours of hockey has left me immobile on the couch.

Thanks again to Nick for organizing this. Had a blast up until the puck in the mouth.
The mouth is okay, just have a sore jaw and a fat lower lip. A couple of teeth were out of sync originally, but I just went and realigned them in the dressing room. Hockey life, ya know? I'm just happy that no teeth were cracked, broken or chipped.
Don't lose any sleep over it Jayems, it could have been a lot worse. At least I was wearing a visor? We don't want to revisit that argument again...
Thank for your thoughts the rest of you guys. I had a tonne of fun.

well it was Awesome!!! A few people didn't show up but that's all good. There are so many people whose usernames I have to remember to put with the person. I think Team Dark was the better team. I knew I would put just the right amount of ringers on the team to secure a victory for Team USA
But really it was fun and I can't wait til next year.. maybe a stampede shinny if I make it up for the stampede. This year's game had more skilled/faster players and we had 2 goalies show up which was awesome. I am glad I only fell a few times.
I scored twice , both off re directs, but 2 Canadian goals = 10 Oklahoma goals so I am good with that.
Thanks everyone for coming out ...

Wormius ... you did good for not having much experience playing . You have to start somewhere. Keep up the skating and pick up some gear and next year you will a heck of a lot better. While I am still not good I can promise you that the guys who skated in the CP Shinny last year will agree that I made a ton of improvement in just one year. You just gotta keep going out, skating, and not worrying about what other people think. Its a huge step out of your comfort zone to start something like hockey and then its even worse when you play with people who have played for their whole life. Keep at it , I expect multiple goals from you next year.

The welt looks pretty awesome today but don't worry about it. I've always wondered what it would feel like to get hit with a puck in the area between pads. Now I don't have to wonder anymore.
But yeah, really great time Nicker. Thanks for all your work in getting this together and enjoy the gear. Be sure to let me know when the next one is.
