What was your name on Sportsnet forums? I tried to log on awhile ago and it said my acount has been banned. That place constantly has log on problems.
The only other posters I've seen from those forums on CP is AltaGuy and Roofdaddy.

I was flamesrock or something many moons ago. Made a name here and made like 5 posts, then came back again. I went to Sportsnet a little while ago and it felt like talking to hobos. Not the good type of hobo either.

I used to like the small time feel of it. Everyone poster knew every poster and it was more of a chat/hockey forum than just a hockey forum.
The only major problem there was the Canucks fans. Oilers fans were pretty cool and we'd always joke arond with them and engage in friendly ribbing for the most part, but the Canucks fans were just unbearable. Their posts were always similar to someone shouting on a street corner that their team is TEH BESTEST and your team is TEH SUCKS! Just brutal.
That, and their facisnation with not allowing any talk of religion or politics in the off topic forum.
EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot my favorite part about that place; How sportsnet cencored the words TSN and CBC. I used to love some of the thread titles "Tee ES EN reports that Smith has signed". "Anyone watch Iggy's interview on SEE BE SEE?".

I can't be the only one who skimmed through the thread for the ego boost that would have come with being mentioned with such epic posters on CP, only to have the disappointment of no mention kill any good feeling I thought I would have.
I rarely venture out of the Off Topic here. Photon has helped me the most around these parts, and troutman has seen me through 2 home sales. Jiri and I used to bump into each other a lot at the Dome until I had to go and become a father. And I still think LA Flames Fan is one of the funniest people I have ever met. The rest of you can go fly a kite.

I think I saw him a couple of times downtown in the +15s, each time when I was with people from work grabbing a coffee. The last thing I felt the urge to do in front of my co-workers was to go up to some guy and tell him he's a premature ejaculator without context!

The poster Ren made the typical "I'll eat my own pubes if......" bet.......and lost.
We all called him on it and he made a video of himself eating his pubes (I think it was on a cracker with some peanut butter), and then posted it to youtube.
