Good on Nik, he says what he sees from other players. What he probably has seen is certain players that he doesn't want to name and he is sick of it. Not giving 100% in practices and their poor preperation for such a big game. The evidence was on the field that a good chunk of the team thought they could breeze through this game.
Honestly if the Stamps had a team full of players that had Nik Lewis's dedication and drive to winning the Stamps would dominant.
The O line was about a disfuntional as it could get. Burris got cocky after the successful 99yrd drive. Which is not always bad in sports but Burris was not the leader he had to be. Reynolds was a non factor, not driving his legs like he normally does. Appeared to have the body languange of a frustrated player. O line opened up next to nothing for runs. Rambo was not completing routes and beaking off far too much.
The D appeared to take the Esks recievers not seriously enough. Maybe they thought no Stamps or Barnes no problem.
Jones was out coached badly and exposed his rushing 3 sometimes only 2 with very little QB pressure at all. Not a fan of a bend don't break philosophy on D anyways.
Dickenson has to share a good amount of blame for really poor play calling. Several times recievers were in the same area as each other. Allso the plays called often made ltttle sense.
The amount of 2 and outs by the offence just became habit forming.
Just like any CFL season. After Labour Day is when the season makes or breaks teams and no CFL team can win if the QB is not executing.
What I would like to see is that if the Stamps win by 30 or 3. They keep their mouth shurt about how great they think they are. Just play football.
Huff did a very poor job not recognizing as a HC his team took this game very casual before the game was even played.
They earned this beating.
