The next logical move is for the superior tribe to eat the stupid tribe alive now, then dump Coach.

Yep. He has a chance to win, and showing everyone he gave the idol back to Ozzy will look good on his part. If he was really a jerk or coward he definitely would have just kept it and played it at his choosing.
I hope Coach gets blindsided in a few weeks. He seems far too smug for my liking.

I would also really grind in the fact with Ozzy if he's on the jury that I did return the idol to him, and put myself in an incredibly vulnerable place on that first post merger vote and you chose to give the idol to another member of your team even though your plan put me in a bad place with the Coach lead tribe.

Am I the only one rooting for Ozzy? He has always been one of my all time favs. I thought his move to go to RI was beyond stupid, but it's not going to burn him, so it's all good. And as we saw last night, it's not really going to help him either.
Cochrane(who I can't stand BTW) made a ballsy move, a move I didn't think he was going to go thru with, but I don't really understand the thinking behind it. Upolu seems pretty strong and I can't see them bending anytime soon, so yeah, Cochran may have kept himself safe for the next few votes, but once Ozzy and co. are done, Cochran is probably next. If the goal of the move was to avoid drawing rocks and leaving it to chance, then yeah, it was the right move. If the goal was to get him further, then yeah, it's the right move. But if the goal was to help him win the game, it was totally wrong. It was a "big move", and people do respect "big moves" but it was a stupid move because he just pissed off 5 people and the other 6 view him as flaky and someone who can't be trusted.
Cochran is an idiot.

I love when players make moves like Cochran did last night, it makes the show much more interesting. I wonder if they were meaner to Cochran that they have shown on TV.
I did like at the end when Brendan said "Stop talking to him like that, that's why you lost the vote."

Cochran is not going to win this game, I would put his chances at about 1%
That wasn't going to change if he stayed with Ozzy's tribe, plus he had a 1/7 chance of going home last night if they picked rocks
why on earth would he do that
now he gets to stay around for awhile, and he made a huge move, which makes it more likely for him to get asked back at some point, which being the huge fan of the show that he says he is he probably considered

I will be shocked if Cochrane isnt voted out within the next few weeks. Ozzy and Jim are next on the block, once they are gone or one wins immunity, get rid of Cochrane. If he was that fast to flip to your side you sure as heck can't trust him.
And yes I am also cheering for Ozzy, ever since Cook Islands he has been a favourite of mine. And Cap you know as well as I do that with the bitter jury members you won't get any votes for "playing a good game" since you sent them there. You outline it yourself as a flaw in the way the game is set up. The only one who might is Ozzy, because he has played the game before and might recognize a power move when he sees it, and give some credit to Cochrane for simply out playing him.
On the other hand he might just be more upset than he was when Elyse got voted out. Karma's a bitch Keith... I am really hoping that its Whitney heading to R I next week so the lovers have to duel it out.. and Whitney sees that Keith really only cares about her as far as he can throw her as he destroys her in a 1 on 1 challenge.

I still think that if your playing to win then Cochrane is the guy that you take to the final three. After hearing the cries of coward, and the heat that was put on him in the previews, there's no way that you don't want him sitting beside you in the jury. For a nice smart kid who literally got abused by his tribe from day one, he's almost got a Johnny Fairplay level of hatred against him.
You absolutely have to get Brandon in front of the jury, the guy is crazy.
To be honest, if I'm Ozzy I'm grabbing Cochrane and Brandon and two other players from the power tribe as quick as I can and promising them a final five shootout, because out of all of them Ozzy is the guy that can win immunity the easiest and the most.
If I'm Cochrane, I want in front of the jury with Ozzy, because as much as I switched, remember I gave the immunity idol back which could have saved whats her face.
I think if Coach is in the jury, he votes for Cochrane today, and he would have a big voice in the jury.

I think it was the only move Cochran had to stay alive in this game...he is a lawyer after all, dweebiness or not.
Rumors from Jeff on twitter is that this week will have a double elimination...and obviously it wont come from Redemption Island as only Keith lives there now.
Ozzy better win immunity or he is toast and same with Jim who looked like he was ready to murder Cochran at episodes end last week.
Cochran will have a few weeks to try and get himself and Dawn better positioned in the new tribe.
I still cant believe Brandon has made it this far.

Whether it was the best move he could have made or not, I still stand by the fact that he will not win this game unless he is sitting next to two former Savaii at the finale.
So is the best move really one that pretty much seals your fate as a guaranteed loser in the game?
Even the rocks had better odds than that.

well that was exciting. A whole bunch of sniveling whiners led by Ozzy and Jim...and both were shown the door. Should make for an interesting battle on RI next week.

Good episode.. I agree with the fact that the other tribe is acting like a bunch of yahoos, actually really just Brandon. But he does have a point, if the shoe was on the other foot man would it be a lot worse, however that doesn't justify it imo.
I am surprised nobody from the former Savaii has dropped the "You do know that at least a few of us will be on your jury?" Joe "Student of the game" Cochrane should know this more than anyone.. maybe that is why he is always so quiet now and not rubbing it in. Pretty obvious Coach knows it..
I think Whitney is done next week, highly doubtful she wins immunity competing against the entire tribe..
Ahh well, I am sure she got one thing accomplished she wanted, great advertisement for her singing career.

After what 23 years, people still don't understand that at the merge if your tribe is down numbers then your pretty much done unless you can break up that alliance, and I didn't see them working that hard at it, all I saw is a bunch of whiners crying about their treatment, and Brandon was absolutely right, if the shoe was on the other foot, Ozzy's tribe would have been laughing their asses off as the obliterated that tribe.
I expect that we'll see another whiney jury session again this year. Right now Coach is probably in the lead as long as he can keep his core alliance in his alliance together.
Ozzy is plain and simply an idiot, with his dire warnings about fish and protein and rest. Its now a three man race in the redemption immunity and those challenges don't require a whole lot of physical strength or running and jumping.

If I were in the Dawn/Jim/Whitney group, I would be rallying hard for Albert and Sophie to flop. Sure they're sitting comfy right now, but they have to realize that Coach won't be taking them to the final 3 with him. Coach is most likely going to take Brandon and one of Edna/Cochrane with him.
I have a strange feeling that Ozzy is going to run the gamut at Redemption Island.

Glad CBS had two tribals last night. It would've been a boring two episodes if they aired them seperately

First time all season I agreed with Brandon, he was totally right. They have the numbers and are going to run with it. Pretty simple Survivor strategy, but of course there's always someone who gets their feelings hurt. Ozzy has come off like a big baby this season, too bad......I've liked him in previous seasons.
Coach is playing it the right way, keeping his mouth shut, not ticking off anyone and basically just trying to be a nice guy. Maybe he has learned after all these years to finally play the game to win. I don't really want him to win, but he's doing well so far.

So we have our first 2 members of the jury (Jim and Keith) and Dawn and Whitney getting the double boot at the end.
Rather blase episode.
I think next week will get better now that we are down to one tribe. Albert has to make a move because everyone appears to be drinking Coach's Kool-Aid.
Meanwhile Ozzy is playing the, I will be back card, but it wont matter anyways even if he does get back.

It's possible to see a Coach/Ozzy final two.
Who would win? Jury would be split in half, right?

I loved the look on everyones face when they said that the two losers of the RI challenge would be jury members.
And for the first time in what we have seen anyway, people are starting to talk about jury votes. A bit more important than day 28 or whatever we are on now.
So if all of Savaii make it to the jury, thats more than likely 3 gaurenteed votes for Ozzy between Whitney/Keith/Jim and possibly another from Dawn depending on the other two in the final three..
I was really hoping Whitney would win that, I know Ozzy would love to be the one that sends Cochrane packing off RI.
