One day is kind of a rip off- what happened to the other theory?
Edit: NM, I read Camping's article. The Rapture will take place in a few hours and then all of the other neat stuff will happen.

Those are some of the things a lot of Christians fight about. There are premillenialists, amillennialists, postmillennialsts, prewrath rapturists, and posttribulation rapturists.
They are all arguing about whether we go up first, we all die first, we suffer through hell on earth first, if the apocalypse happens first, if heaven comes down to earth first, if Jesus returns first, if Jesus returns after, etc.
To make it brief, Harold Camping seems to believe that Jesus actually returned in 1988. Since then, all other churches except his became controlled by Satan. If you are still in a Church that doesn't believe in what he is saying, you cannot be saved.
The people who will be saved is completely up to God although through prayer and obedience, you may be able to receive mercy. Only 200 million people will be saved. There are way more than 200 million Christians. That's why all the people in churches won't be saved.
Tonight, everybody will start dying whenever 6:00 reaches you (I didn't know that God played by daylight saving time and time zones). A big earthquake will happen whenever 6:00 reaches you. 200 million will get raptured before this happens and everybody else will die in the earthquake or the 7 months of disasters to happen (his tribulation I guess). Then on October 21st, the world will be totally destroyed and replaced by a new one that the 200 million get to live on for 1000 years (the millennium).
I bet when nothing happens tonight, he's just going to change his tune and said that he got something wrong. In 1988 he told people that it was absolutely certain that Christ had already returned. When nothing really happened, he just changed his message that "Christ returned in spirit". Then 1994 was supposed to be the end of the world but nothing happened. He just took that to mean he calculated something wrong and 1994 was the beginning of the time people could be saved (nobody could be saved from 1988 to 1994 for some reason). Now when nothing happens tonight, he's just going to say that he got something wrong and they have to live through disasters that will come in the next 7 months and they don't get raptured until the end of the world on Oct. 21st, 2011.
Oct. 21st is the real party people. I'm just afraid the charming old geezer will die before then so we can't get his reaction.
