Geez ipad was on truck at 530 am and It still has not showed up. One UPS delivery all ready came so now I am hoping the afternoon man has it. The waiting continues
Some iPad ordering questions:
- Which 3g should I order: Bell, Rogers or Telus? I’m on Rogers now but that may not matter.
- Should I but the wireless printer for $300 or is there a better option?
- What colours (computer and cover) are folks ordering? Is silver available (I don't see on the website a colour choice)?
- What is the docking station for? Is that only for recharging?
- The website shows a camera adaptor but I thought I couldn’t download software from my camera onto an Apple product????
Well, typing this from the exhibitors lounge at the car show off my 4.3 iPad tethered to my 4.3 iPhone hotspot, on my Rogers 6 gig data plan. Fast and flawless. Called rogers today, and confirmed there will be no charge for hotspot or tethering.
Yup. I have the 6 gig $30 data plan from rogers on my iphone. Now maybe i can actually get over 2 to gigs of useage. This hotspot thing is awesome.
If you have an iphone 4 there is zero reason to get a 3g ipad now. My hotspot is running noticeably faster than the N router wifi that 6 other guys are sharing.
Some iPad ordering questions:
- Which 3g should I order: Bell, Rogers or Telus? I’m on Rogers now but that may not matter. Pretty sure it's totally unlocked so it shouldn't matter.
- Should I but the wireless printer for $300 or is there a better option? If you're on a Mac you can get any wireless printer and download a program called printopia ... I would imagine PC's have a similar product.
- What colours (computer and cover) are folks ordering? Is silver available (I don't see on the website a colour choice)? If I were buying I'd go black, but that's just personal preference.
- What is the docking station for? Is that only for recharging? Mainly yes. I would also help with putting your iPad at a good angle if you were using a wireless keyboard (tall portrait orientation only though).
- The website shows a camera adaptor but I thought I couldn’t download software from my camera onto an Apple product???? Not really software, but you can download your pictures onto it. The camera adapter comes with two pieces, an SD sized adapter and a usb sized adapter. While not a true USB, it does work for some things (some keyboards and mics can plug into it for use with the newly released garageband app).
ok so on way to work this morning slipped on some ice and original iphone screen is now spidered Now do I go with a cheap 50 dollar upgrade to Iphone 3gs or pay the 170 for iphone 4? I was really hoping for it to last till iphone 5 but I guess I could always just try and sell my new one in July for 400 and upgrade again assuming apple/rogers keep the same pricing
