Creepy "Hunter" creeps up on women. Then proceeds to throw his tire into traffic, which they have to cut/edit becuase it probably hit a car. Well done Edmonton!

Is he fingering passing motorists because they're not stopping to let him jaywalk?

I understand was just an exercise but I'm not totally clear how you got these. I understand that Rattie- who's actual career high is 5 gets a 29 due to pro-rating, but why don't Bennett and Frolik (as examples) not get credit for their actual career highs?

You can see why they are deceived up north - but when comparing current potential, the advantage flips, for example, I can't see Lucic or Rattie getting anywhere near those numbers - meanwhile, all the Flames can reach their career highs and even surpass them.
I'm pretty sure Johnny scored 30 one year

Wrong. Frolik's weighted career high is 22, Gaudreau's is 31, Neal's is 41, Bennett's is 20, and I'm sure I'm missing more because I didn't look through them all. Redo a lot and then post

Just like the Oilers coming season. Think they're crossing a bridge to chase a girl but then the wheels come off and they start giving the finger to the rest of Edmonton.

It really is interesting that just by not trading an elite forward Chiarelli had a better offseason - I wonder if any other GM in league history has traded as many top end forwards as him.

He's traded

Phil Kessel (16th among forwards in league scoring the last 4 years)
Blake Wheeler (8th)
Tyler Seguin (10th)
Taylor Hall (23rd)
Jordan Eberle (44th)

for

2 1st round Picks (End up with Seguin & Hamilton but only because the Leafs misjudged their window and still sucked - not really his doing) & a second round pick
Rich Peverly
Boris Valabik
Loui Eriksson
Reilly Smith
Joe Morrow
Matt Fraser
Adam Larsson
Ryan Strome

So pretty much 5 forwards that are all elite or close to elite top line point producers and the return is only saved by the fact that the Leafs sucked after the Kessel trade and gave up high picks. (Counter point is if we want to include "what picks turned into" he also gave up Barzal)

Like if he ends up staying in Edmonton much longer it's pretty much inevitable that he ends up trading one of Draisaitl, Puljujarvi, or Yamamoto for a poor return and they end up staying as a star.

I'm surprised they don't just make that their primary logo... just replace the big "40" with a picture of McDavid.

At least they can reuse the patch design for every future decade because they're not winning any more cups.

Didn't they announce someone was dead that wasn't at one of those drawn out building openings?

Really.... I hate to point this out...but if I were to use your math... Gaudreau would be at 82 goals... I took some statistical liberties in my calculations - to get fairer numbers. You see, if someone scored 10 goals in 20 games one year, and then 20 in 60 games - their career "seasonal" high is really 20 goals... weighting that, you get 27 goals... if I were to take their non-career high, but their higher goals per game season, I'd get 41 goals... but I feel that 27 goals is more realistic... don't you? I hope Johnny scores 82 goals.... I really DO!

Okay let's be real buddy. Neal had 40 in 80, Gaudreau 30 in 80, Frolik 21 in 79, Bennett 18 in 77. So their weighted averages are a bit higher. But they did play a large amount of games, so I think it's fair. You shouldn't be making Gaudreau have 82 goals because he had 1 in 1, but 30 in 80 can be changed to 31 as a weighted average, yes.

So basically what you're telling me is Neal's 40, Gaudreau's 30, Frolik's 21 and Bennett's 18 are not realistic, even if they all played most of the season.

But what's not realistic is Rattie's 29, Aberg's 10, Brodziak's 22 and Nuge's 32.

I'd say my weighted averages are the realistic ones

If Rattie gets more goals than Brouwer I will be amazed.

Other impact that isn't being discussed is that GG is now an assistant coach in Edmonton, There will be some trickle down mismanagement even if he isn't the HC...
