Huge long shot but during the 04 run a Tampa reporter did a segment on Calgary and the 04 run. The lady reporter was being shown around downtown by a Calgarian who worked for the city or tourism Calgary. They had a rental car with a Lightning flag on it and after her tour of downtown they returned to the car and it was stolen (the flag, not the car).
Without missing a beat, the Calgary tourism lady went on to point out how Calgarians are polite and that they managed to steal the flag without damaging the car. It was hilarious.
I’ve been trying to find it for years with no luck. Does anyone else remember this? Is it online somewhere? I’m 99% sure it’s nowhere to be found but you never know. I seem to recall it being replayed on CTV or Global. Maybe they’ve uploaded it somewhere.
Retro car flags should be available tomorrow at the Fanattic Dome location.
Good timing. My wife already managed to lose our one flag by rolling down the window on Deerfoot. She lost the other one the same way two years ago. It’s starting to feel suspicious.

Maybe you should take away all of her butter allowance until she improves.

I'm surprised he doesnt rent something through AirBnB. I couldn't imagine living out of a hotel for 2 months, unless CBC is springing for a deluxe suite or something

On the bright side, those of us that do it get like $10 000 worth of best western points a year
17th Ave will be closed to vehicle traffic beginning at game time between 4 Street and 14th Street SW. Closures may be extended east as needed. Parking restrictions on 17th will be in effect on game day from 7pm-5am between Macleod Trail and 14 Street SW.
· Portable toilets will be placed in five locations between Macleod and 9a Street. This will be increased to eight locations should the Flames move to the second round. If more portable toilets are needed, the City’s events team can install them in banks of six with fairly short notice.
· Construction on 17th Ave has been halted until the Flames complete their playoff run.
