The world we want to live in is where men are taught not to be sexual predators, not where women are taught how to avoid them.
Blaming women for not taking appropriate precautions -- like, apparently, being in a bar at all -- perpetuates sexual predation. I can't stress it enough that you need to understand that what you are doing is quintessential victim blaming.
and embarrassing

The victim blaming here is sadly very reminiscent of that in, “To Kill a Tiger”.
it's incredibly frustrating that it keeps happening too. You'd imagine we'd slowly, but surely make progress and move past victim blaming in these cases, yet here we are again.
I'm glad there's accountability for the players involved. Having destroyed a young woman's life, it's effed up they have been allowed to play in the NHL and make millions in the first place, but better late than never. Have to thank Rick Westhead and others for their reporting, otherwise this would have been swept under the rugs again.
That's the thing though - not everyone does. In this instance, one thing she could've done is not get blackout drunk. I am not saying this would have made any difference in this instance, and lots of teenagers get blackout drunk weekly, if not daily at college/uni.
Everyone has a difference risk tolerance level. It's risky walking out of your front door.
Maybe she thought sleeping with a champion junior hockey player who was on his way to NHL superstardom was an achievement. Maybe it was purely physical attraction. Another girl may've heard stories of what young men with wildly inflated egos get up to in the bedroom and would stick well clear.
Absolute trash opinion.

One of the allegations is she was coerced to be recorded in these acts and they made her state she was sober while filming. That's a criminal thinking of ways to protect themselves right there.

You're obviously old enough to know that the world we want to live in and the world we actually do live in are two different places.
Some men want to be sexual predators and choose to act on that. No amount of ‘teaching’ is going to be 100% effective in preventing that.
No blame attaches to the victim of rape. Nevertheless, because the world is imperfect, there is still value in learning ways to reduce the risk of becoming a victim. These things can both be true at the same time.

The Quest stands upon the edge of a knife. Stray but a little, and it will fail, to the ruin of all. Yet hope remains while the Company is true. Go Flames Go!

I think it’s worth clarifying that there is exactly one person who is victim blaming. And they are being shouted down by dozens of people. CP doesn’t deserve any blanket condemnation.

So hockey wise if Dube is part of this can the Flames terminate his contract and open up a roster spot or if he’s in a league support program does that keep that from happening?

fwiw I don't think the Flames release said he was entering the NHLPA program.
but if someone does you can't terminate them, but I don't think he did.
