This Bassi guy is all talk and a leader of the Sikh Temple in Martindale. He never worked a day in his life but spent like money grew on trees. Funny thing is that this same Bassi used to be closely linked to many of those on the gurdwara (sikh temple) commitee in Calgary. Now none of them want to even be remotely linked to this guy. :-D

In the 60s, you use to be able to buy a bag of ephedrine at the drug store. Terribly addictive stuff that Crystal meth and I saw a few people go down hill very crazy fast. Shame to see it popular again. As they use to say about it back then, Speed Kills.

Ephedrine is still commonly available over the counter. most supplement stores stock it.

Wow..who knew trafficers were so old? I always thought it was younger people trying to do this kind of stuff.

Ephedrine is not easily obtained legally. Pseuephedrine (Sudafed) is. . .kind of. Structurally they are the same but the difference lies in what are called the stereocenters of the molecules. They are diastereomers of each other, basically they are almost the same but not quite (without getting confusing).

I'm not normally in supplement stores but my understanding was that quite recently ephedrine was severly restricted in Canada. Maybe you can still buy it in small amounts but I'm not sure. A few years back I helped some narcotics officers from around North America with some of these clandestine drug syntheses and they led me to believe that pseudoephedrine was most commonly obtained now. It doesn't really matter either way though, both ephedrine or pseudoephedrine will give you the same meth in the same way. I also second what other people have said in that meth addiction and all the side effects are really awful.
