Rumour is that it's god-awful. Like horrendous. And that's it's already been cancelled.
I'm reading that, I havent seen anything about it being already canceled but the overall initial reactions are not good.
And I'm not surprised considering who is pulling the strings. It looks goddamned terrible. That show is going to need a miracle to sell me.
And Klingons only smile right when they're about to tear your heart out. This is how it was and how it should always be.
Unless all of those characters get horribly slaughtered in some capacity I dont anticipate I'm going to really like this show.

I haven''t seen that rumor, but I know they're pushing the show hard. They released a 4 minute clip yesterday and it had all of the Kurtzman high points.
Super dark and confusing non dynamic ship battle, Cringeworthy dialogue, wooden acting, surprisingly by Holly Hunter, the Villain introduction, and the Gem H'dar character.
I'll watch the first episode, but I'm not holding out hope

Yesterday was the 34th anniversary of Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.
So...I guess I'm watching that today.
Loved that movie and I remember getting emotional at the end credits with the Cast signatures.
It was a prime example of the even number paradox that had the even number movies being just exeptional
Star Trek 1 TMP - I actually liked it, but it was bland and sterile
Star Trek 2 - TWOK, the best of all Star Trek movies ever made
Star Trek 3 - Was really good, Lloyd was such a great Kilngon, and the whole caset was at its high point, but not as good as
Star Trek 4 - TWH again a really quality movie with the Cast allowed to stretch their chops
Star Trek 5 TFF - Shatner directed this movie and it was an outright mess.
Star Trek 6 TUC - It says a lot that this exceptional wrap up was probably the second or 3rd best in the Original Trek series.
Don't get me started on the Next Generation movies, while Generations was decent. It was a large drop from the previous one. First Contact was pretty good, and better then Generations, Insurrection was outright terrible and stupid, and Nemisis was drek.

Where oh where shall I begin?
- The Captain needs glasses?
- The Jem'Hadar appears to be a British Lady.
- During the panic on the ship everyone is fleeing an inexplicable courtyard with a giant tree in it so they can...flee up a gigantic flight of stairs all of which is nonsense from start to finish.
- Paul Giamatti is going full Ham.
Pretty much the only thing that trailer had going for it was that it didn't introduce any of the Academy Kid characters.

The explodey hallway bit was good. Sometimes they look fake, but the actors really sold the unexpected here-to-there moment. It lasts from 2:11 to 2:13, so admittedly it lacks longevity.
