You have to think that the other teams are watching this go down with Vegas and Florida and are upping their offers for Andersson.

Steinberg thinks they look at an LD, someone like Ryan Lindgren is his guess. He also said if they don't get someone they want, he believes they'll let it ride with the youth.

What’s interesting for me is how ugly those deals for Boeser/Ehlers look and Gavrikov.

You had a lot of teams with cap space ready to make a splash and that’s what is left. Going to be ugly.

That's exactly the guy I was about to suggest. Seems like a good fit on a 3-4 year deal until the kids are ready.

Would rather not sign anyone. Cooley as the backup. Go with Kadri-Zary-Frost-Backlund-Hunt/Kerins/Morton as the centers. There are plenty of wingers pushing for positions within the organization. Same with defencemen. If injuries happen, it opens up opportunities for young players to step up.

I doubt Conroy does that though. Agree with others that he likely signs a depth center, a backup goaltender and probably a depth left-shot defenceman.
