Taking a while to get to 5000

Man alive, this Caps home crew is REALLY pumping Mangiapane's tires. Hope he regains his form there for you guys but yeah, it's been a few years.
Markstrom in mid season form btw. Some great saves mixed in with nearly coughing the puck up playing it behind the net.

Oilers S Skinner is in mid season form as well, 4 goals in 27 shots, SV% .852, after 2. Skinner back being Stinker already.

they just showed highkights, LOL
every single goal would qualify for a 'this guy scored' shot
on the first goal, the Jet was in the slot with all 5 Oilers surrounding him, but not one of them actually did anything.
It's just glorious to watch!

The Oilers are obviously just going through the motions until real hockey starts. I get it, they had the shortest break in the NHL and need to save energy. 8 games of pre season is stupid.
That said, it will be interesting to see how they come off the block to star the year.
