What a joke.
This is what happens when you go with the cheap off-brand garbage, embarrassing.

Saw an article today somewhere, confirming Fanatics will be selling three versions.
Legitimate on ice jerseys for $420, then, a quality similar to the Adidas Prime Green, for the same price Adidas retail was for $240, and the same cheaper version that was sold for $180.
Teams won’t be changing design and logos the first year. Fanatics wanting to nail this, because they caught way too much misguided flak for the baseball uniform fiasco this year…when it was Nike changing the design and fabric and things such as name and numbers as apart of that, that caused the issue. They just produced what they were told by Nike. But, for the first time their name will be on thr uniforms worn in action by any pro sports league.

Still don't understand why the regular version is $240 and the "budget" version is just $60 less. If they can make the budget version for like $100, Fanatics will sell a lot more jerseys...

Sale price.
I have the basic heritage classic Huby that I paid $100 for I think.
It’s cozy, just like Huby. A nice comfortable Huby jersey that I’ll get at least 8 years worth of use.

I recall touring the Montreal Canadiens Hall of Fame at the Bell Center years ago. It WAS a fantastic hockey shrine with some incredible things, artifacts, interactive things and more. Old equipment, historical pieces and more. In some ways it was better than the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto since it had a lot of historical stuff about the game. It has since closed down and been transferred throughout the Bell Center.
Long story short, there was a 1955? Maurice "Rocket" Richard authentic game worn "sweater" an actual sweater as they were back then. It retailed at the time for a high end price of $3/4 or something. Maybe $50 now adjusted for inflation.
Now we get the authentic stuff off the rack for $425 + $100 for customization.
Unreal

Yeah, but in order to buy it, you had to write a letter to Monsieur Eaton and there was a good chance he'd send you a Leafs jersey instead.

I've said it before, and will say it again, grown men wearing hockey jerseys out in public looks dumb. They really should make public size jerseys an appropriate size to not be hanging off one's body. But that's a conversation all on it's own.

I doubt they want to sell a lot more jerseys. They'd rather price them so high that they have snob appeal, and then make an obscene profit per snob. The ‘budget’ version is like the base model of a car: They don't expect it to sell, but it makes the full-priced version look good by comparison.

You just order a smaller size if it's too big.
Like I would be a XXL with equipment on and a L with no equipment on.

Aren’t the lower end replica/fan jerseys meant to fit slimmer? Unlike aithentics which fit bigger for equipment being underneath I thought the replica was designed to be worn with no equipment.

All the Adidas jerseys were definitely more slim fitting then the previous Rebook jersey. And the Reebooks were more slim then the previous CCM/Koho's.
And everything pre ~2000 fit like literal tarps.
So the new Fanatics might fit like a tight sweater lol.

I was watching the new Icethetics video about the Fanatics jerseys that are going to be revealed this month, and it said the Flames were not bringing back Blasty this year. Not sure if that's something new but thought I'd mention it.

There is a newer Icethetics video clarifying that the Blasty going away rumour is false.
So rest easy.

Chris did a follow up video after that, he had an update from another source that Blasty is here to stay (for now)

Flames won't get a new look until the new building opens. My guess would be red white and gold in a more modern look or style.
Then keep an existing jersey as a retro.
It will likely be that long until Fanatics does any sort of league wide program as well, but they will.
Blasty could be tinkered with or removed in that time frame, and probably gets cut when the new building opens, if not before.
Flames have had a terrible record wearing that uniform, with it being the lazy choice for the first reverse retro program and then the alternate the last couple seasons..nevermind the dark ages of 1997-03.
