Took him a long time? To do what? If you’re comparing him to Cale Makar, that’s not necessarily fair.
On average, I’d say his trajectory and development was fairly steady for a top 2/4 D.

Spokane sucked. He did that on his own (basically)

One player I really hope the the flame nab is Justin Poirier, 51 goals and is so young he was days from not being eligible for this draft, only reason he's not ranked in the first round is he's listed as 5'8, I suspect like his brother he'll have a late growth spurt and even if he doesn't he's built like a truck.

I was wondering about him as well. I noticed lots of props for him but as you indicated his size may be a factor for sure.

It's no guarantee he makes it to the Flames pick. He's a really good talent.

Catton looks like a little Kovalev out there with his white skates and holding guys off with one hand wearing 27 in bleu blanc et rouge.

It's not like he's tiny, 5'11". He's slight, but he's also barely 18.

I was just about to say that he’s currently listed at 5’11”, which isn’t too bad- same size as Cole Perfetti. I think he’ll play at 6’0”.

I’d be surprised if Catton made it to the Flames.

Ithis thread proves again how difficult it is to tack down anything after pick 2. Well even two is up for debate even though I think it's a given Demidov goes to play alongside Bedard.
I'm gonna guess the 4 who will be available at 9: Dickinson, Silayev, Helenius, Eiserman. Those'll be the "next 4 on the board".
Who do you take? I'm 1000% on Helenius out of those 4.

If that is the list I am taking the 17 year old 6’3 205 lbs dman who scored more than a PPG 10,000%. Dickinson is a franchise dman who does everything right.

Yeah I'm really hoping Dickinsen and Silayev are gone by 9 so we don't have to talk a swing with Silayev. Dickenson I haven't watched enough of to form a strong opinion either way, but he seems like a very solid, if a little unremarkable compared to the rest of the defensemen, pick.

I have day dreams we land another pick near top ten. Love catton but if you walked out if this draft say if Dickinson or buium happen to fall to nine you add yak with the second pick. We could land our top pair in one draft. Dickinson/yakemchuk as a top pair? Parehk/Yakemchuk? Gorsh.
However considering how bad our Center depth is if catton or lindstrom is there can you say no?
Wish we had a second pick le sigh.

This is said repeatedly about every prospect lol. I'd be surprised if anybody is left to make it to the Flames!
