This team is what it is. Mediocre. I like that they’re losing because it’s clearer they should not be waiting it out but rather selling.

Sports net openly talking about changes needing to be made. Someone won’t be employed at the end of this trip.

When the jays took the lead I looked at my son and said they will lose 14-11. I was sort of joking.

With an early game tomorrow I doubt the Jays do anything. We probably have to wait until Thursday.

I sure hope the GM is not able to fire another manager....

If a move happens, Jays need to start at the correct level.

I'm all for getting rid of Atkins but I don't see it happening until the offseason. They need to do something though. It's long overdue.

Agreed, to allow another manager to take the fall, would be a terrible move for the Jays. Lineup is very....very average to below average.

However, it would not shock me that the manager is let go.

I think Schneider along with Martinez needs to go too but like Geoff Ward with the Flames he should have just been a temporary replacement after what happened in the playoffs. That decision falls on Atkins though.

To be fair, who could have predicted the falloff of Vladdy, Bichette and Springer? At least they don't have extensions.

Lots of people, have been down on Vladdy for a long time, no surprise.

Springer its basically an age thing, its the risk of a long term contract.

Bo, is a huge surprise, my guess he will turn around his season.

If they're going to rebuild I would think you deal Bo? He'd almost certainly have the most value. I can't imagine Springer could be moved, and unless Vladdy stays hot until the deadline he won't be worth too much. But Bo has an extra year left on his deal, plays a premium position, and is a great hitter. Might make more sense to deal him in the off-season though.

Not after the 2022 season when the moves were made.

What's this fall off with Vladdy? Over his last 10 he's hitting .410 with 6 RBIs and 7 runs scored.

He's now hitting over .300 on the season with an OPS over .800.

What's the problem? Not enough power? It'll come.

The issue is that the entire team hasn't been playing well at the same time.

Vlad gets hot? Turner falls into a crater.

Varsho hits for more power and better results overall? Springer falls off the map as a pro.

The problem is that they've been in some games and had a few key things go against them to end up in a loss. They lack clutch hitting, and the manager doesn't make decisions that aid them very much at key times in the game. They're sloppy and have mental errors that set them back, errors that could be coached out of them.

It's clear that Schneider isn't a very good manager. There's a lot of low hanging fruit that could be fixed on this team, and Schneider hasn't got a clue how to handle it.

It's time. Maybe a fresh voice could at least get them playing more consistently.

Vladdy expectation was higher, he is not the talent that many were hoping for.
