Location: A simple man leading a complicated life....
Exp:
Interstellar: It began on August 6, 2013, in the province of Alberta, Canada. Towns in Alberta where shooting took place included Nanton, Longview, Lethbridge, Fort Macleod, and Okotoks. In Okotoks, filming took place at the Seaman Stadium and the Olde Town Plaza.
The iconic house, in High River which was used in the filming of Superman 3, on 5th St. SE between 3rd and 4th Ave. SE.
I think one of those new Ghost Buster movies was filmed in Alberta.
Legends of the Fall as well. The funny thing is that I heard they originally scouted Winnipeg and rural Manitoba as the location, but the City of Winnipeg wouldn't let them remove trees from some of the streets, even though they would later be replaced. Meanwhile, Alberta has gone on to become a pretty popular place to film stuff and Winnipeg not so much.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife was filmed in and around Fort Macleod.
A friend of mine from Lethbridge sold his car to the film company for them to use in the film. It was one of 3 identical cars the company bought from people around Lethbridge and they didn't tell any of the previous owners if their car was the one used in the scene.
Another one filmed at the park was a TV movie called For All Time, starring Mark Harmon as a guy who is able to go back in time and falls in love with a woman there. Just noticed the full thing is on YouTube.
Of the handful I've seen from that list, The Valley Below, a low key drama set in Drumheller or thereabouts, is half decent (I know, a ringing endorsement). One not listed there is Circle of Steel, also not great but maybe worth checking out, about a group of oil workers in a remote office.

Also, pretty sure all but one season were filmed in ogden here in calgary as well
4 of the 5 seasons were shot in Calgary and Southern Alberta. It's interesting because most shows/movies shot in Calgary use rural settings, so you don't see many places in the city. Fargo has a lot of recognizable locations within the city.
The building I live in is briefly visible in season 1. My old high school was used for the opening scene of the most-recent season.

The production bought 500 horses, as that was far cheaper than renting and the budget for feed for the horses alone was $1,000,000. After the movie's completion, the horses were auctioned off, with most selling for more than what was originally paid. The primary draw by buyers was these horses had gone through an extensive training period four months before filming began.
Quote:
The ministry of transportation would not permit all the crew and extra buses (115 in total) on the freeway heading to the location each morning, fearing major gridlock on the Trans-Canada Highway, so each bus was strategically dispatched from several key points in the host city of Calgary every 90 seconds. This avoided traffic jams.

I bumped into Cuba Gooding Jr at a Flames game when the Kings were in town... physically and accidentally. I couldn't figure out how I knew the guy until they spotlighted him between whistles. He was in town filming Rat Race.

Also Calgary filmed and starring Cuba Gooding Jr was Snow Dogs. Us avgeeks even get a scene of their small plane taking off quickly before a WestJet 737-200 lands.
A lesser-known film "Dawn Anna" starring Debra Winger. My late wife and I babysat Debra's son one night as we were related to one of the producers and our sons were close in age to her son.
A couple others that I can think of off the top of my head.
The Knock Around Guys (2001?) was filmed around Drumheller
Rollerball remake was partially filmed in and around southern AB
R/V (Robin Williams) was filmed in Southern AB, (Waterton, Milk River Bar, Writing On Stone Park, Oasis on Hiway 36 south of Brooks)
Rad was filmed in Cochrane and made by Calgarians I believe.
