Amazing if a cheap peice of wool/poly blend fabric from 2y ago was holding $275M worth of ball players back.

If this works the Flames should bring back the green hardhat from 20y ago, and I'll start planning the parade route down 6th and 9th avenue for June 15 2025.

Purely out of Calgary content, Jays should get Soroka for long relief alongside Richards. Pretty cool to see him still out there.

I wonder about that. He seems like someone where it'd be cheap to try and see if the guys in Dunedin could fix him. I think a big part of the issue for him has been injuries, and the upside is Cy Young Finalist/All-star level starter at a low price. Plus the feel-good story of him being a Canadian - if he re-habs into a serviceable starter that looks great for the club. A low-cost Canadian starter might be just what they need going into a rebuild.

Could just be wishful thinking - I'm always going to cheer for the guy from Calgary to succeed...

Soroka is 26 years old and it's pretty clear his struggles have been post injury related. I'd take a flyer on trying to let Pete Walker rehab him for sure.

100% bring him in next off season and see if he can be returned to pre injury form.

I hope he can find some of his old form. He was a potential Ace going to make bank. Would've been cool to see a Calgary kid in the spotlight like that.
